November 25, 201311 yr Todays Sun has done a double page Article about the No.1 Albums. There are quite a few errors. They use a photo of Gold to illustrate ABBA's 1976 Greatest Hits Album. (The 2 Albums only have 4 Songs in common - Waterloo, SOS, Mamma Mia, & Fernando). They say that ABBA had 57 No.1 Albums - when they mean 57 Weeks at No.1. And that Never Forever by Kate Bush, (September 1980), was the first No.1 Album by a Female Soloist. In fact, Kate was the first UK Solo Female to have a No.1 Album. Connie Francis had a No.1, (20 All Time Greats), in August 1977. (Barbra Streisand was No.1 with a Star Is Born, earlier in 1977, but she did not sing everything on that Film Soundtrack). The Guardian has done an Article about the 1,000 Number Albums. The writer(s) claims that of 4 Beatles only George Harrison had a UK No.1 Album after that Group split. In fact Paul McCartney had 7 - 4 Solo, 2 with Wings, & 1 with Linda. John Lennon had 3. Only Ringo had none at all. His 2 biggest Albums both Peaked at No.7. The writer(s) also says that the Beach Boys never had any UK No.1 Albums. They did. One in 1976, & one in 1983..... LINK:, http://goo.gl/c3V8QI Edited November 25, 201311 yr by zeus555
