I'd known of Gabrielle for a little while before she released The Power of Love but was never *that* massive on her, I found her a bit uninteresting even if she had a lovely voice. The Power of Love totally changed that and I LOVE her now, went to see her a couple of weeks ago and it was genuinely perfect. So glad she's got the success she deserves.

GODBRIELLE. :wub: Definitely one of the albums of 2013 (spoilers for my own :heehee:). So many highlights!

Bellamian favourite and BJSC entry Cody Simpson lands his second album in at #3 here. This album is the shortest one in the whole top 20, having only 8 tracks (although an extra 4 for the deluxe edition), but nonetheless it's so good. 8 amazing tracks is better than 8 amazing tracks with 4 fillers IMO.

'Surfers Paradise' is fantastic! :wub: Definitely his best so far. 'La Da Dee' remains a jam <3

So in at #2 is BRITs Critics' Choice winner Tom Odell, an artist who I never in a million years expected to love this much. My 2nd favourite discovery of the year without a doubt, and the whole album is fantastic (23 weeks in my top 5 is quite something :lol:). Another Love is so beautifully haunting, a real 11/10 song, along with Grow Old With Me. It's rare I get an album where I feel I want to give more than one 11/10 :lol: Hold Me and Can't Pretend would've both been top 5 hits had I known them earlier on (the latter charted at #40 randomly on a quiet week a few weeks back oops).

So this #1 won't be that much of a shock to anyone who knows me well. Ulrik has been ever-present in my chart this year with both this album and his debut self-titled album. The 19 year-old Swedish singer-songwriter has had two #1s this year plus three other top 10 hits and countless other songs going top 40. What an amazing album, highly recommended to everyone, or at least this one song:

 

 

So tomorrow we move onto the POINTS CHART very quickly. What albums and singles have done well in my personal chart this past year? :o

'Living For The Weekend' is definitely my least favourite album from The Saturdays to date. :( It's just a bit "there".

So ridiculous chart runs ahoy now, with an all-Ulrik top 2, separated by only 2 points! Cody's debut album comes in 3rd, beating his 2nd album oops. Girls Aloud continue to SLAY despite splitting up earlier in the year (worst day of my life, and of Jay's too x). Tom Odell's 23 weeks in the top 5 secures him a top 5 here also.
