Britney Jean is superb, I've left it for next year's chart due to how early I started mine but it's so so good. Gutted to see it flopping so badly officially. :(

Prism is also great, a more consistent album than Teenage Dream for me but the two singles aside, the highs aren't quite as high.

I am quite surprised this era has gone the way it did. When I first heard Work Bitch I really thought it would be a big hit for her, like genuinely. A shame it has gone the way it has. Ah well, as long as she is making good music I do not care too much.

I have only recently begun to enjoy Bastille, but I agree. They were amazing live too!

If it was billed as an Otto Knows or will.i.am song featuring Britney, it would've been MASSIVE, and would've got loads of radio support, etc. Ugh. :(

02 Really Don't Care (ft. Cher Lloyd)

03 Made In The USA

04 Nightingale

05 Two Pieces

At #04 we have an album I was initially disappointed in, but grew on me tremendously and was even better than Katy and Britney's latest albums! ARTPOP is even personally a step up from Born This Way for me personally, which was just a bit too out there and dare I say it, BORING. This is more cohesive and full of huge pop hooks, the five I have listed are all huge pop songs and Gypsy in particular is one of the best things she has ever done. If she goes with anything else for the third single then she has officially lost it for good.

At #03 we have Demi Lovato who I have become OBSESSED with this year ... she is just so cute and her album was surprisingly amazing. Heart Attack is easily one of the songs of the year and Really Don't Care not being the followup single was a HUGE mistake imo. It could have been HUGE for her I think ... it sums up my past relationship perfectly and is a perfect f*** YOU anthem to an ex or just anyone you used to like. Some people also say the album is very ballad heavy, but I adore the ballads to the very emotional and touching Nightingale to the powerful In Case, I really enjoy it. I am excited to see where she goes next with her career.

'Boomerang' and 'What Now'   The former especially! Didn't deserve to do as badly as it did (although it wasn't *that* bad), nor does it deserve the hate it gets. :(
Demi  My stanning for her is obviously pretty well documented, but the album really is so so so good <3 Really Don't Care, Made In The USA, Nightingale, Shouldn't Come Back and of course Heart Attack are my highlights but there's not a single dud on there (Never Been Hurt is like a 7/10 but that's the closest it comes to failing)!

52 // Jennifer Lopez (ft. Pitbull) - Live It Up

I'm screaming dalé, shes screaming yolo

51 // Eminem (ft. Rihanna) - The Monster

You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath

At #60 we have the second Little Mix track to appear on my countdown, at first I was baffled my the single choice as I initially thought it was one of the weakest on the album but the new radio edit and video made a lot of sense in the end. I adore the 90s vibe it has and it was great to hear from Missy again! At #59 we admittedly have a disappointing comeback from Lady GaGa (but not as poor as Born This Way I guess) but it did grow on me loads and the video is one of her best in my opinion, I have learnt that she saves the good stuff for later on in the era now too, still a strong pop song but you know she is capable of better. At #58 is a song from Calvin Harris that nearly suffered from overplay from me and radio stations and clubs and just EVERYWHERE but it is a very solid dance song and probably my favourite of his to date behind Sweet Nothing. At #57 we have a disney princess with GENIUS lyrics and a nice sample in the form of Bridgit Mendler, the song is cute and harmless and just a lot of fun ... I love pure pop like that and I was addicted to it for a few months but it hasnt aged well at all already!

At #56 we have my favourite pop $l*t Ke$ha who is the BEST at trashy pop, and she delivered again with Crazy Kids, although I despise the version with will.i.am who has a very lame verse ... the song in its original form is MUCH better. At #55 we have someone I have a love-hate relationship with, Ellie Goulding with her #01 single Burn - at first I thought it was very nothingy and kind of basic bitch like, but it grew on me LOADS and I am strangely not bored of it at all yet. Perfect summer song as well. At #54 we have Bastilles floppiest single, but one of my favourite of theirs to date! Laura Palmer has a very strong chorus and I adore the lyrics to it as well, very anthemic sounding, a shame not many people seemed to agree. At #53 we have my favourite turtle Conor Maynard with his best song to date in R U Crazy, pretty much Justin Timberlake Lidl version, but I still adore it. I hope he continues to go in that direction personally. At #52 there is my favourite guilty pleasure of the year from Jennifer Lopez and her sidekick, Pitbull ... Live It Up is horrendously tacky with its cheap dance breakdown but I cannot help but love it, from the tacky video and lyrics to her mustard lipstick, everything about it is just so hilariously amazing. I am sure it would have been huge like a couple of years ago too when this sort of sound was more in style too. Finally at #51 we have a man I completely despise, Eminem but Rihanna manages to make him quite tolerable, The Monster is like a natural followup to Love The Way You Lie and is just as good too!

02 // Little Mix - Salute

01 Move

02 Towers

03 These Four Walls

04 Salute

05 Nothing Feels Like You

01 // Ciara - Ciara

01 Livin It Up (ft. Nicki Minaj)

02 I'm Out (ft. Nicki Minaj)

03 Overdose

04 Body Party

05 DUI

In runners up place we have Little Mix who EASILY bettered their debut album with this little gem - full of such solid pop/R&B songs. It has emotional powerful ballads from the very relatable Towers, the vulnerable These Four Walls, to the empowering Salute and the funky Nothing Feels Like You. Truly not a bad song on the album at all, and after I was initially disappointed in them post X Factor with their debut, this is the kind of music I really wanted from them all along ... it doesn't feel as basic and is full of much more personality. I hope they continue to go down this route and I hope the rest of the era is just as successful for them.

And at #01 we have one of the most underrated divas in the R&B scene, but she is never bitter about it ... she just keeps doing her thing and creates the album of her entire career. It is of course Ciara, the self titled album blows all of the other albums out of the water this year for me, jam-packed full of hits and I love the 90s R&B vibe it has on it with the slower songs too but still manages to bring the huge hits with Livin It Up, I'm Out and Overdose ... all of which should be HUGE #01s but of course that will never happen for poor old CiCi. One day she will have her time to shine and book that stage she speaks of.

42 // Britney Spears - Perfume

I'm gonna mark my territory ...

41 // Zedd (ft. Hayley Williams) - Stay The Night

I am a fire gasoline, come pour yourself all over me...

Breaking into the Top 50 we have A*M*E with her debut single Heartless, which really should have been her R.I.P. and Need U (100%) should have been her Hot Right Now, but alas, it was not to be :(. Nothing original at all but such a fun pop/dance record and I really thought it could have been a huge chart hit, but no one even knew it existed pretty much. Talking of which at #49 we have Alexis Jordan with her comeback single, Acid Rain, which I don't think even ended up being released at all! It could have been her Good Feeling, god knows it is 100x better than Get Up (Rattle) anyway. But again, it was not meant to be... strangely enough though I still hear it out at gay clubs, so that is something I suppose? At #48 we have last years ultimate one hit wonder Carly Rae Jepsen who will most likely always be known for Call Me Maybe, but her followup single Tonight I'm Getting Over You was a whole lot of fun and a great pop song!

My countdown would never be complete without a bit of Nicki Minaj with her final single from The Re-Up, High School, such a slick and sexy R&B/Hip Hop song, was so good to see it briefly in the Top 40 earlier this year! Really excited to see what she brings with the next album, I think it could either be a complete disaster or propel her to even more success ... we shall see. I hope she gets the balance of pop and hip hop right next time. At #46 we have one of the biggest hits of the year with Icona Pop and I Love It, I had heard this song a long time ago but it PROPERLY clicked with me earlier this year (before it was released, around January time) and I had been obsessed with it ever since. The perfect summer anthem. At #45 we have the final single from Bastille to feature on my countdown, but what a song it is! Such an anthemic indie/pop song and that chorus is undeniable... sounds even better live as well! At #44 we have Taylor Swift with a song making 22 not seem old at all, which I am eternally thankful for. Nothing special, but it is just so cute and infectious!

At #43 we have Katy Bs best single since Broken Record in my opinion, so chilled and so so good. Perfect hangover anthem too, really excited to see what she brings from her new album next year. At #42 we have Britney Spears going all PERSONAL ... except it isnt really, but it is a perfect throwback to the early Britney that we all originally fell in love with, a flop everywhere, but who cares. At #41 we have one of the best dance producers at the moment Zedd with Hayley from Paramore on Stay The Night which will hopefully be a HUGE SMASH next year unlike Clarity ever was sadly.

40 // Drake (ft. Majid Jordan) - Hold On, We're Going Home

You're a good girl and you know it

39 // Katy Perry - Unconditionally

Open up your heart and just let it begin ...

38 // Avril Lavigne - Here's To Never Growing Up

If you stay forever, we can stay forever young

37 // Disclosure (ft. Eliza Doolittle) - You & Me

You stashed my heart somewhere in the dark, keep it safe, I know you will

36 // One Direction - Kiss You

Everytime we touch, you get this kinda rush ...

Kicking off the Top 40 we have Drake with one of the best R&B songs of the year, with a lovely chilled out R&B song which I am surprised caught on like it did, but I am glad it did! At #39 we have Katy Perrys biggest flop in some while, and when I had first heard it I wasn't too keen as it seemed a bit too mellow but it really is beautiful, the production and the lyrics are gorgeous. Talking of flops, at #38 we have Avril Lavigne with her comeback single, which flopped pretty much everywhere and even though it isn't really anything new from her, I cant help but love it, it is so anthemic and just a great party song! At #37 we have Disclosures finest single to date in my opinion, the gorgeous You & Me which made Eliza Doolittle tolerable which is quite some challenge! It is a shame it is their least remembered now, but it is going to be a little gem in their back catalogue I feel. Finally at #36 we have a group that I never thought would appear in my EOY countdown, especially this high up, it is of course One Direction with what is EASILY their best single to date in Kiss You. Such a guilty pleasure, but it just instantly puts a smile on your face - the video for it is perfect as well, I hope they continue to do more of this kind of music and not take themselves too seriously (Midnight Memories, Story Of My Life). This music suits them much better imo!

35 // Pitbull (ft. Ke$ha) - Timber

Let's make a night you wont remember, I'll be the one you wont forget ...

34 // Demi Lovato - Made In The USA

Baby I'll take the bullet and take the blow for love ...

33 // Ke$ha - C'mon

I don't wanna think about whats gonna be after this, I just wanna live right now

32 // Paramore - Still Into You

I should be over all the butterflies but I'm into you

31 // Avril Lavigne - Rock N Roll

What if you and I, just put a middle finger to the sky?

At #35 we have one of my biggest guilty pleasures of the year thanks to Pitbull. It is undeniably trashy, and Ke$ha and Pitbull together was always going to be that but it is so ridiculously infectious that I cant help but love it, it is the perfect party anthem too! Really looking forward to it being all over the clubs until I get sick of it (much like Scream & Shout in that respect). At #34 we have one of my artists of the year, Demi Lovato with her hugely uplifting summer anthem Made In The USA which seemed like it would be perfect for radio but alas, it was not to be, still always puts a smile on my face and the video is ridiculously cute too. At #33 we have my favourite trashy popstar Ke$ha with another hugely uplifting party anthem which is all about living in the moment, Cmon is nothing groundbreaking but it doesnt try to be either ... it is just good fun POP. At #32 we have one of Paramores most commercial efforts to date which of course results in it being their most successful to date (at least I think so?) - a great fun catchy pop/rock song which in all honesty sounds like it could have been recorded by Kelly Clarkson but that doesnt take away from the fact that it is a great song. Finally at #31 we have Avril Lavigne with the hugely anthemic Rock N Roll, with one of the best videos this year, it is a great throwback to her older stuff whilst still remaining fresh and like it could be a huge hit (it wasn't, radio and people are shit) - everything I want from an Avril song. Her best since Girlfriend for me.

Made In The USA  It's become one of Demi's best singles for me, despite me not being fully behind its release at first.

2x Ke$ha

Fully expecting Iggy to smash this chart

30 // Ciara - Overdose

You're like the hurricane inside my veins, but I like it babe, so bring on the rain

29 // Duke Dumont (ft. A*M*E) - Need U (100%)

I wanna be the one you call every day and night, are you gonna be the one who always treats me right?

28 // Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Can't Hold Us

I go hard like I got a 808 in my heartbeat

27 // The Saturdays - Disco Love

You take me back in time to 1999, we hear the DJs playing hit me baby one more time

26 // Fuse ODG - Antenna

This girl she do me wrong though, cant believe that she broke my bongo

At #30 we have one of the most underrated R&B divas ever, Ciara with the sultry and thoroughly infectious Overdose which was the final single to be lifted from her self-titled album. It was just so effortlessly slick and sexy and maybe if it was recorded by Rihanna or Beyoncé it would have actually been a hit, poor old CiCi. At #29 it is one of the best dance songs of the year from Duke Dumont, Need U (100%) just felt so effortless and was a great throwback to the 90s sort of dance music that I grew up with and loved, the infectious "mmm"s to A*M*E owning the vocals really made it a very special song. At #28 we have what is easily Macklemores best song to date, this wouldn't normally be my cup of tea but it is so energetic from his impressive rapping skills, the creative lyrics and video and the fast paced production that WILL have you going batshit crazy on the dance floor - much better than the lame Thrift Shop imo. At #27 it is The Saturdays with another homage to the 90s, with a slice of fun breezy pop which they really do best. At #26 we have again something that isn't normally my cup of tea but seriously, WHAT A JAM, you cant NOT dance to it ... I even learned the full dance routine to it which I impersonate very badly when intoxicated. It was definitely the soundtrack to my summer.

25 // Lana Del Rey (vs. Cedric Gervais) - Summertime Sadness

Got my bad baby by my heavenly side, I know if I go, I'll go happily tonight

24 // Katy Perry - Roar

I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire

23 // Ciara - Body Party

You should know that your love is always on my mind, and I cant deny it, I want it all the time

22 // Foxes - Youth

Now I'm just chasing time with a thousand dreams that I'm holding heavy ...

21 // Alicia Keys - Brand New Me

I don't need your opinion, I'm not waiting for your okay, I'll never be perfect but at least now I'm brave

At #25 we have one of the big summer dance anthems of the year which unsurprisingly came from Lana Del Rey, albeit in remix form. It may have been seen as a sellout for many, but it is possibly my favourite from her to date oops. At #24 we have the huge comeback single from Katy, which took the charts by absolute storm, it is not my favourite from her and in all honesty I was hoping for better but only because she set the standard so high with previous single releases! It is a fun anthemic empowering song and it is easy to see why it has done SO well. At #23 we have the biggest single from CiCi since Love , Sex, Magic with the slow sultry R&B jam Body Party, initially I thought absolutely nothing of it but it grows on you with every listen, hell, it is still growing on me now! So effortlessly sexy and Ciara looks absolutely stunning lately . her performances of it have been amazing too! At #22 we have one of my favourite new talents of 2013, Foxes, with her debut single Youth, a beautiful electropop ballad all about wanting to hang on to our youth, a song I can greatly relate to lately and is kind if upsetting to listen to in a way, but is so so beautiful and deserved so much more than it got. Finally, talking of a song that deserved more than it got is Alicia Keys with Brand New Me which was released right at the start of the year. It is an absolutely beautiful empowering song to anyone who has been in a controlling relationship, I know it is only a song, but it helped me a lot when I was going through a breakup and opened my eyes a little ... such a moving song, a shame it flopped right on its ass.
