Her voice is beautiful! I have ALWAYS said she is much, much stronger on her slower, ballad songs and those with more meaning lyrically: Love Into The Light, Animal, Hungover, All That Matters (The Beautiful Life), Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, The Harold Song, etc. so the more stripped back/less sleazy sound is something I have craved her to do FULL-TIME for years now.

The Harold Song and Blind are possibly my two favourite Ke$ha songs  It's really sad when people assume she's some talentless party whore because of her singles but I guess the label didn't help by carving out that image for her.
Hungover is my all time favorite but I agree that all her other slow tracks are great. I would add Shots On The Hood of My Car in there as well.

Hungover is indeed her best song. Dat chorus.

Rumours (ATRL and Twitter) seem to suggest she will be at the Billboard Music Awards and performing a new song :') I doubt she has anything to release as soon as that let alone securing a slot to perform it but who knows. I do wish it's true obviously.

Is it just me or does the suggested line up for the Billboard Music Awards seem a little too good to be true? This, a Madonna tribute to Prince and a Britney medley?

I was very excited to perform a tribute to Bob Dylan by singing a cover of "It ain't me, babe" at the Billboard awards this year. I'm very sad and sorry to say I won't be allowed to do this. I just wanted to make very clear that this performance was about me honoring one of my favorite songwriters of all time and has never had anything at all to do with Dr. Luke. I was never going to use a picture of him, speak of him or allude to my legal situation in any way. I simply wanted to sing a song I love to honor an artist I have always looked up to. thank u all for the continued support.

💔

I love love love "It Ain't Me Babe" and she did perform it and it was gorgeous. I remember hearing one of her country demos years ago and her voice suits this kind of folky material so well.

Can't find video of the performance but here's her performance from a few days ago:

Good for Kesha for coming back. And she does have a beautiful voice. BUT..... I'm not really into her doing ballads. The biggest reason why she was successful before was because of her upbeat songs with catchy hooks. It was music to party to. This is different, and just isn't my cup of tea.

I don't fault her for wanting to explore different facets of her artistry, especially if her past work carries too many painful memories for her. It's ok if it isn't everyone's cup of tea but maybe this is what she needs for now. It certainly doesn't mean she can't go back to more upbeat music in the future, just with different collaborators and under different circumstances.
I thought the Bob Dylan cover performance was well executed, and I almost bawled when everyone gave her a standing ovation

Kesha: Singer Drops Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Against Former Mentor Dr Luke in Los Angeles

Kesha has given Dr. Luke's label 28 new songs to fulfill contractual obligations, her lawyer said. She will continue to pursue cases against him in New York, alleging physical and emotional abuse.

http://news.sky.com/story/kesha-drops-dr-l...claims-10520057

So she's dropped the case to get her music out there but will continue cases against him for the abuse..

Does this mean we're getting 28 songs from her? Is she out of the contract after this then?

I hope so, she has gone through so much and it is only fair :(
Thing is... If he wasnt willing to drop her with all this then I wouldn't be surprised if he rejected these songs. Just because shes given him songs, he doesn't have to release them.

I am SOOOO ready for the new era. I am rediscovering 'Warrior' aka one of the best pop albums released this past decade. Come through FIGHTER <3

Also I hope she calls the album Woman because how incredible and beautifully powerful would the transition from

Animal > Warrior > Woman

be in terms of defining herself??
