I have to agree with Billy to an extent. I think I am used to such high quality from Leona, 'Echo' was stunning in particular, that these songs we are hearing are underwhelming in comparison. They are still good songs, and enjoyable to listen to, but at this stage I can't see me coming back to this album like I do with 'Echo' especially.

I really like "Thunder"/"Another Love Song" and think "I Am" makes a really solid album track. I do like "Fire Under My Feet" but it's the weakest song released for me so far.

 

"Ladders", "I Got You" and "You Knew Me When" seem like they're going to be really strong tracks. Then there's "Thank You" and "Power", the latter of which sounds great from the snippet. There's also the two deluxe tracks "Thick Skin" and "The Best And The Worst".

Oh yes forgot to say she's apparantley on Good Morning America in the US for album promo. Not to mention we got conformation on Jimmy Fallon earlier too, so that makes two TV promo slots for album release I would think.

That would be really great if they released "I Got You" and it got Capital support. She could really use a huge push. Perhaps they'll be refreshing the campaign with the 3rd single?

Fantastic promo. I think Leona and Def Jam's wishes of having their single choices being pushed first have now been seen to so hopefully Island take more control over the next singles and push for 'Ladders' or 'I Got You'. I don't think 'Another Love Song' would be the best bet for the third single. Its Garage influences are a bit too niche - which won't do Leona any favours in the pre-Christmas market. The label needs to play it safe with 'I Got You'. Maybe they should get a rapper to feature on it to (a) get it some solid radio play and interest and (b) give it a clear "release week" since the collaborative version won't be available to buy until a certain date while the album version would already be available to purchase from the album on iTunes.

That's a really good promotional schedule, I find it hard to believe she will be on Ellen and at the Capital Jingle Ball but maybe she will be!

They're from a reliable source, so should be 100% confirmed. I don't find it hard to believe Leona will be on Ellen though, she's been on it before and I've seen plenty of acts who aren't that well known/have small fanbases go on Ellen in the past to promote their music.

 

Just hoping that if she is definitely at the Capital Jingle Ball, then it means that Capital will be supporting the next single and maybe playing "One More Sleep" quite a bit.

The only thing they told me was the German promo that was not right but then again they thought I said she's doing TV shows which I didn't. We'll see where she is tomorrow

I seriously cannot wait for this album!! :D I really can't tell what my favourite song will be from it, I'm struggling to decide what my favourite is so far between all we've heard but I think it's currently 'Thunder'.

Mine has to be 'The Essence of Me' - that will feature on my summer playlist from years to come I feel. 'Power' could give it a run for its money though (in a general sense - not in terms of my summer playlist because that would be weird :lol:).
