Can't wait to see him either! :w00t:

I have to admit that I'm a little nervous about attending the concert re: the crowd most likely being full of teenage girls. I'm worried I'll feel a bit out of place, what with being a 26 year old guy. I also fear that there'll be some short child behind me who can't see, and then subsequently getting grief off parents sitting behind me. :snif: I'm 6 foot 2. When I went to see Beyonce in February, some woman in the rows behind me asked me to sit down because they couldn't see... <_<

Which section were you sat in for Beyoncé? People know the risks when buying tickets :P You can't really force someone to sit down and consequently have them not have as good a time (possibly). I hope you didn't back down Jay!

I volunteer to be a 'plus one' if anyone needs one for the next tour :teresa:.

Sadly I did sit down. :( I just felt too self conscious at the thought of people behind me bitching about me. Also, my friend & I were in the very front row of our block, so I could still see fine anyway, even though sitting down was far less enjoyable... especially as everybody around me was stood up. I did get up again for Crazy In Love & Single Ladies though... you can't sit down for that! #rebel

The friend I was with hadn't seen that this woman had come down to tell me to sit down... she just thought that I was tired. :kink: When I told her why I was actually sitting down after a few songs, she was pretty angry that someone had told me to do that, and that I'd done as they said.

The ridiculous thing was that we were in one of the tiers towards the back anyway, so even if you could make out Beyonce on stage, she wasn't all that clear anyway. :drama: Oh well! This isn't the first time something like this has happened to me unfortunately, and I doubt it'll be the last time. <_<

That's ridiculous! What grouch! You're right, why would it matter if you're that fat from the back!

Next time you should be all:

I'd probably be the exact same TBH. If they don't get an adequate view, in the words of Little Mix, MOVE. :kink:

I guess you meant 'far' but this made me lol!

How many rows behind you was this woman? Isn't it tiered enough already? I wonder what would've happened if you'd have refused to budge!

People haven't really stood up at the last couple of concerts I've been to and then I feel too self conscious to be the only one stood up. :( Guess Level 4 of the O2 is already far enough up that people don't want to add to the distance.

I remember when I was seeing Emeli a lot of people stood up during 'Wonder' and these two idiots in front of me and my dad were standing so we just remained seated and said nothing, but they kinda knew we weren't happy :kink:

I did! OOPS!! HAHAHAHAH!

Just seen this on Twitter (is this like what you got Jay?):

They are beautiful...

Is everyone that's going sitting down?

I don't know how you can sit down at a concert/gig!

TL;DR response: ( )

Generally people stand up with seated tickets anyway! There's many pros I can think of for getting this kind of ticket. You have the added bonus of having a seat to sit down in in the run up to the concert starting, or if you fancy a bit of a time out during the concert (aka during dull ballads). You have designated personal space and can more easily leave and come back (i.e. get a drink / toilet break). You can turn up to the venue whenever you feel like it, prior to it starting. The only drawback is being further away than people standing, but tbh unless you're towards the front of standing then you don't really get a great view anyway.

I've done standing tickets a few times actually, and although it's fun to be really close (I'd almost always get to the barrier  ), I do find it to be a bit of an uncomfortable experience overall. Standing up for hoooooours & being squashed up against other people, ick. Plus, unless you're a very confident person, you can't leave the crowd & then get back to your original place. Once you're in position you usually have to remain there for like, 5 hours.... and that's not including the queuing time beforehand, which would be many more hours if you want a good spot. I've had my fun doing this when I was a bit younger, but I can't be doing with the discomforts nowadays. (I did make an exception for Girls Aloud last year, though).

Calum my tickets are very similar to that, the only difference being: if you consider that ticket design as being "portrait"... mine are in "landscape"!

Totally!

I prefer the above ticket design better than mine actually, cos it's a full picture of them, whereas on mine, all of them bar Zayn are slightly covered up behind the ticket details.

(I'm thinking it would be easier for me to take a picture than try and explain how it looks. )

You totally should take a picture! (it totally won't make any of us more jealous than we already are tho :heehee:)
