His voice is just too dissimilar for it to sound a part of the same song the other four are singing. :P Much better when he just forms part of the chorus. :kink:

That's it in a nutshell. Harry, Zayn and Liam could sing a line each and a casual listener could think it was one person singing with different vocal inflections. Then you have Louis bringing the listener back to the reality of the song in question being a bog-standard boyband offering. He ruined Story of my Life, Through the dark, and completely ruined the end of Something great. There are many others, but these 3 are the ones that come to mind right now. He sounds like he's whispering in his Through the dark solo.

If he's really a good songwriter he needs to focus on that and leave the solos to the others. Even Niall sounds miles better than him on MM, and Niall is another one who needs to stay away from solos. Although I thought his voice worked for the folkier songs on MM.

Agreed. There's a lot on 'Take Me Home' that had Louis solos as well which should instead have had either Harry or Zayn (the obvious culprit on the album being 'Little Things' although I can imagine that being more of a Niall solo than anything).

Niall does sound better on the 'Midnight Memories' tracks, notably 'Through the Dark' which is probably the only song in their discography I can say I associate with him alone. He and Louis are the two weakest though and probably should do more work behind the scenes and less in front of the cameras. :kink:

Why they can't upload the entire behind the scenes all at once is beyond me.

The boys have apparently bagged free taxi rides for a year because they used an Addison Lee in the video for this. :drama:

Beyond 14 million views already though, so that's fantastic! :cheer:

LOL it's not even just in the video, it's in the lyrics too. :kink: Good promo for Addison Lee x

Parts 2, 3 and 4 of Behind the Scenes:

I see Addison Lee EVERYWHERE, they don't need the promo

Depends how you define 'flopping hard'. I can definitely see it missing the top 10 (which would be the first time for a 3rd single from them). I don't think the boosts so far have been the most encouraging and I think the general reception to the song could be better.
So far it reminds me a lot of 'Unconditionally' so if it goes top 20 I can imagine it being only due to their EP sales.
I hope they have some decent promo lined up. Its an alright song but I think they have deviated from their "sound" too much with this one...
I don't think this will miss the top 20, although I do have my doubts that it'll manage top 10 (:(). It's a shame because it's definitely up there with their best singles, even if it is a bit *too* short and is over as soon as you get into it.
I think the EP sales will be strong enough to get top 10, but I can't see it going any higher than 8/9.
I'm not sure I can see this song out-peaking / matching the peak positions of One Thing & Kiss You (their other "third singles", both #9)! I have a Top 15 feeling about this one. We'll see!
I hope that if it does perform badly they break their own boundaries and go for a fourth single to end the era on a high! 'Diana' or 'Strong' to close the era would be perfect (and would probably guarantee them a top 10 hit)
"Happily" ^^

And sadly I doubt there will be a fourth single, the tour begins soon, doesn't it? (and album four).

'Happily' would be a good choice as well! (although if anything I think they'd go for 'Don't Forget Where You Belong'.)

Tour starts at the end of April, so by the time 'Midnight Memories' is released they have roughly about a month, but I suspect that will be packed with tour rehearsals / final touches that would shadow any thought about the fourth single. :(
