ZAYN MALIK ended his four-year engagement to PERRIE EDWARDS with a single text.

 

I’ve learned the former ONE DIRECTION star has also cut all contact with his former fiancée since sending the heart-breaking message dumping her more than two weeks ago.

 

Not surprisingly, the LITTLE MIX beauty has been left “completely devastated” by love rat Zayn’s callousness.

 

Last night my source revealed: “It’s unbelievable, he’s an immature little boy with no thought for anyone else’s feelings.

 

“Perrie is one of the sweetest girls in the world and she’s stood by him through thick and thin.

 

“But he ended their engagement with one text message and in the two weeks since there’s been complete radio silence between them.

 

“Who does that? She’s devastated, which everyone understands, but is doing her best to focus on work and to put on a brave face in public.”

 

The pair are now set for a battle over their newly purchased £3million home.

 

They bought it together just two months before Zayn, who The Sun has previously revealed cheated on Perrie, sent her his final message.

 

The couple never got the chance to properly move into the sprawling six-bedroom house, which has a 25-acre garden, gym and cinema. Now poor Perrie has no idea where she will live.

 

The source added: “This was the house where Perrie expected to marry Zayn and act as his wife for the rest of their lives.

 

“It was their dream home and he went through with the purchase only a few weeks ago. They bought the house from a Premier League footballer and both loved it.

 

“It’s understandable that Perrie feels confused and led on. He must have already been having doubts about the relationship.

 

“This was a very serious, major financial purchase. She thought Zayn was committing to their long-term future.”

 

While Perrie has been left to wonder what happened, insensitive Zayn has been living it up large in LA.

 

The singer, who I revealed last month has been axed by SIMON COWELL’s label Syco, even partied with a group of glamorous women in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

 

The former boybander went clubbing at trendy club Hyde before hosting an after-party for friends and four blonde beauties at his rented Bel Air mansion.

 

Guests included French actress LINDA BELLA and Katy Evans, the wife of Scottish international rugby player MAX EVANS, brother to KELLY BROOK’s ex-boyfriend THOM.

 

My Hollywood insider disclosed: “Zayn didn’t look like he was down in the dumps.

 

“He was helping everyone else out with drinks and generally having a great time.

 

“He suggested the women came back to his rented house and they made a right mess between them.

 

“They were guzzling expensive Veuve Clicquot Champagne by the bottle and smoking indoors.

 

“He made a point that nobody could take pictures of him but that didn’t stop the guests.”

 

Even Zayn’s family have been left horrified by his actions over Perrie — I’m told he ignored their pleas to stay with her.

 

Before flying to LA he held talks with his mum Trisha and sisters Doniya, Waliyha and Safaa, who have been left gutted by his decision.

 

Youngest sister Safaa showed the first signs of the strain as she reached out to Perrie on Snapchat on Sunday, sharing a picture of all five females with three kisses and two hearts.

 

The source said: “Saf put the picture online as a way to let Perrie know they’re thinking of her.”

 

Perrie has been comforted by her bandmates, including JESY NELSON, in Los Angeles. But the stress is clearly showing as the singer was seen with her head in her hands.

 

Meanwhile, Zayn took to Twitter to express himself, uploading a cryptic photo of a painted lotus flower, which represents rebirth.

 

But he seemed over the worst yesterday morning, tweeting: “High for this . . . Weekend tune on a Tuesday ha.”

 

One day Perrie will thank her lucky stars she escaped.

I know it's from The Scum but if there's any truth in that then it's truly shocking and quite horrible of him if so.

I don't for a second believe there's much truth in everything that's said in that article, and we'll only ever be able to take what's been said about "all of it ending through one text" at face value. I guess there's always got to be a villain though in such a highly-publicised celebrity break-up. At the end of the day though, he can't be blamed for ending something if his heart really wasn't in it.

Dan Wooton, a journalist who's had so many exclusives with 1D over the years and has quite a few ties with Syco, tweets BAD things about an ex-member? Colour me SHOCKED

Dan's a truly awful journalist anyway, when I read his columns in The Sun if there's a copy lying around at work, he's always judging a celebrity for doing this, or shading them for just being a normal human. He's borderline Perez Hilton.

Basically it means he has no idea about the effect streaming has on musicians (I mean I doubt the management for 1D ever had to worry about the tiny royalties they got from Spotify due to the huge amount of merchandising), which is probably why he retweeted the Taylor Swift dig in the first place - she took her music off Spotify to campaign for independent artists, who get paid barely anything per stream of their song, which could well be self-funded, and they'd make no money out of it. Zayn won't realise this until he releases a song and gets his pay cheque.
