I loved the episode at the weekend but thought last night's wasn't as funny. The obsession over the last muffin wasn't funny enough to be the punchline of several different jokes towards the end and I thought Jamie's slapstick was very unfunny and predictable.

I would love a full series of this.

I find everything she does to be utterly hilarious  We REALLY need a full series, though. No more waiting for Christmas specials :(

I was disappointed they resorted to fart humour as such a central joke, when she's hilarious anyway without it. Fart humour just isn't something I ever find that funny. The muffin thing was a bit overused too, definitely didn't find that episode as funny as the first one, but it was enjoyable enough.

I stll think a good idea would be a six-part or whatever series with different characters, I don't think Nan has enough to her for a whole series. I don't see that happening though, at best it'll be a series of this but probably more Christmas specials.

Oh I watched this... But quickly wished I'd not bothered with the second one, thought it was awful. Like didn't laugh once awful.
I cant see Nan working as a series either. I wonder did she consider bringing back he Catherine Tate show itself? I know Nan was the most popular sketch,(was my fave to) i did like Bernie the nurse too.

Omg Bernie the nurse was the WORST. She's one of the few I could see working in the same way as Nan though. Obviously Lauren too, she was killed off in some spin-off/special though wasn't she? I guess that could be non-canon or somethng.

Some of my fave sketches like the easily startled woman, gay son's Irish mum and the offensive translator just wouldn't work as full specials or series, I would prefer a proper revival of the sketch show but I can't see it sadly.

I enjoyed both episodes but I think I preferred the previous special from a couple of years ago overall. It was good to see Matthew Horne's character in it this time round, although his slapstick injuries in the second episode weren't really needed, nor were the fart jokes. The last muffin joke obviously originated from something that she used to do in the sketches so I guess that's one problem of stretching something out into a full-length show.
