Hi everyone. During 2014, I've decided to stop publishing my charts in an individual weekly thread for a number of reasons. I'm about to start an intensive journalism course in London next week and won't have any free time for quite a few months. As such I've had to cut out a few things that currently take up a lot of my free time and the first thing to go is to trim back my personal chart. I'll still write one up quickly each week to keep one for my own records as I've been doing it since 1999 and it would be a shame to stop recording it altogether.

 

However, it might only be a top 5/10/20 - anything I have time to write that week really. Hopefully I'll be able to keep doing them once a week, but again, I won't be able to rigidly stick to a Saturday and it might pop up whenever. Should I find that after the course I have more free time again, I'll revert to posting them properly. Just in case people want to see them still, I'll post a link in this thread each week to the chart on my blog, which is where I'll post them from now on. I'll also continue to post them inside the Multichart thread on Buzzjack. Weekly features 'songs of the week' and 'popularity bars' will cease to exist but the charts (of some format) and a commentary will remain in tact.

 

Bearing in mind my impending lack of free time, my ability to comment on other poster's charts will unfortunately also be minimal. I've enjoyed doing this for the past decade on various forums as it has allowed me to discover new music and see what other people are liking but from now on I'll probably only comment if I have something particular to say. Thank you all for commenting on my charts in this forum over the years, if you wish to continue to do so, feel free to leave any comments on my blog, or in here, but I'll be mostly using this thread just to link to my new chart each week, and will gather the links in the next post down for easy access.

Pitbull's song is really anthemic even though it's hugely tacky, as are both artists on it :lol: I love it though and it had to be a #1! The instrumental of Colors is far better but I have grown to really like the vocal version, even though a male vocal would have been better on it I think, and perhaps different lyrics! Agree with you about Burial, a bit of a masterpiece, it's entered here based on one listen.

Cheers James, yes it will still appear in some form each week, hopefully :lol: Timber is so good! Yes the Agnes song is from a Swedish show, it's been released as part of a few different albums on Swedish iTunes but I doubt it will see a UK release. Little Me is certainly a big grower, as with all of their singles for me :lol:

Thanks 007, it's amazing how time consuming they can be! at least without the 'pressure' of having to do a set number/set day it should make it a bit easier. Thanks for the comments, the Agnes song isn't a single as such, it's from a Swedish TV show that she featured on. Shame you're not a fan of Timber! Face To Face is brilliant, shame it's looking to be a huge flop, the public are missing out. Haha, yes I caught on a little early to One More Sleep it seems!
