(My first post of 2014)

Just like 2013 it's a London firework display based post:

Love Me Again was used for the London Fireworks display as well, also Pharell saying "Everybody Get Up" featured too. I Could Be The One by Avici was played during the display also and I hope it can get a good boost out of that.

Hopefully the Gary Barlow will give him a boost in the singles as well as the album, biased i know but i thought the show was great.

The Proclaimers sounded great on Jools!

Really think the battle in the albums is between Gary Barlow, Rudimental, Beyoncé & John newman this week!

nice to see wake me up by avicii gaining more sales i adore the song and want it to keep building on its already excellent sales. Gary Barlow let me go is number 13 and 48 is that enough to be top 10 combined.
John Newman is becoming as omni-present as Emeli Sandé was eighteen months ago.

Why Rudimental and John Newman, are they selling really cheap?

They are cheap and on the best of list on iTunes plus they were everywhere on nye!

Agreed but I think a lot of it is to do with the fact this is their home market, I do wish John would perform something other than Love meAgain though!

It's just a shame that John Newman is 'technically' very successful (2 600k+ singles and a #1 album), but "Cheating" and "Losing Sleep" aren't really doing much to indicate he's been even bigger; wish they'd promote something else!
The saddest thing about John Newman is he sounds good and interesting on record, but live he is like nails down a chalkboard.
I also think John Newman is the sort of artist who would find it hard getting a post album hit in the top 10 his music would all be soulful but samey!
Kylie has announced new single "Into The Blue" :cheer: Premiering Jan 20 or Jan 27 for those that don't visit the artist forums.
Don't know so much about Rudimental (but Ella Eyre sounded great last night), but John Newman is on every day, isn't he?

Well to be fair, one of those 600k+ selling singles isn't his own song. :P

wake Me Up is so high presumably because of:

1. Gift card effect continuing

2. Exposure from year-end countdowns on TV

3. New Year parties
