Nice to see You+Me's album performing well, although it's now down to #5 and Ed Sheeran has overtaken it. I hope it mirrors a similar position on the official chart, but I think its sales will be really frontloaded.

By the way, what's the case with U2's album? Is it in stores but not eligible to chart on iTunes after the free giveaway or something? Could they be looking at a low entry officially on Sunday?

Not sure why it's not appearing on iTunes, I'm sure the free offer has ended as of today. Obviously the free download will have affected things (I read at one point it had been 'purchased' by 2 million, although I'd definitely say that was on a worldwide scale!) but U2 are big physical sellers so I'm sure the album will still do well - #6 on Amazon for instance.

It has automatically downloaded for all iTunes accounts so the only people able to buy it would be people who have only set up iTunes today I think. I'm sure it should get semi decent physical sales anyway.

Ah I see. That explains the sarcastic jokes that were circling around about how there was such difficulty downloading the latest version of something for your phone but you'd "at least" receive U2's album for free. I'm sure it'll manage Top 5 if it only took 25k to reach #1 last week.

Robin Schulz's album wasn't released in the end then. :(

what happened to it? :drama: it's not even available to pre-order now, I hope we get it soon, I was looking forward to listening to it on spotify tonight :(

Maybe they're gonna try pushing Sun Goes Down with a held back release and then release the album in the new year?

Taylor Swift 1989 Preorder up to No2 and its not out for 10 days - could be a decent selling album!!

3 Jessie Ware Tough Love (Deluxe Version) (also 50)

4 Foo Fighters Sonic Highways Download

5 Jessie J Sweet Talker (Deluxe Version) (also 200)

This is surprising, but a welcome surprise.

CTC has now been discounted on iTunes and it has a banner on iTunes just ahead of Gaga and Tony's Strictly performance tomorrow http://i.imgur.com/hN9L5Hj.gif

Looks like Sam Smith might be going back to #1 next week, Mobo Awards and Jools Holland.

9. Aquostic (Stripped Bare) - Status Quo

16. Big Fat Lie (Deluxe) - Nicole Scherzinger

Should be a decent number of top 40 new entries again although only 3 biggish ones (Ben Howard should be #1, Slipknot will be at least top 5 and Neil Diamond as well, I imagine his album will hold up quite well for a while).

Getting a bit worried at Motion's (lack of) progress on pre-orders, I'll be gutted if Calvin doesn't make it to #1.
Fully expect Taylor to sell decently this week - is 70k possible?

Possibly. Her last album debuted with 61k and Taylor's become a much bigger artist now than she was back then.

I'd certainly be shocked if she managed anything less than 50k.
