Suit & Tie  such a flawless comeback from THE MAN!

I also have to admit I love Miley's We Can't Stop

Can't wait for the top 10 singles to be revealed, tbh.

Up next is the flawless power ballad from Rihanna! Things have been quite floppy for Rihanna lately (although 'What Now' is proving to be a bit of a moderate hit and of course 'The Monster' - but the year in general) the messed up release strategy for her singles, is to blame though. 'Stay' has gone on to become my favourite Rihanna single, trailing behind 'Fire Bomb' to become my favourite Rihanna song.

ALBUMS:

2010 15 'Teenage Dream'

2013 09 'Prism'

Top 5:

01. 'Roar'

02. 'Dark Horse'

03. 'This Is How We Do'

04. 'Unconditionally'

05. 'Walking On Air'

At number 9 in the albums chart is the album that followed up Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream'. 'Prism' is packed full of hooks and I really don't get why people aren't liking it as much as I do. The "hits" may not be as strong as those on both OOTB or TD, but I definitely think it's a more mature version of both those albums blended into one. 'Unconditionally' would have been an era killer with it's under performance, but thankfully, the label are seeing that it's not going to do much more, so have decided to move onto single #3, 'Dark Horse'!

SINGLE:

IMAGINE DRAGONS - IT'S TIME CR: [18-9-7-4-3-6-10-15-23-37-40-X(7)-4-1-3-6-7-13-19-22-26-27-29-35-X(4)-35-22-29-38-X(11)-43-39-46] - 30 Weeks

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2013 08 'It's Time'

ALBUMS:

NCP

In at number 8 is the incredibly uplifting and anthemic track, 'It's Time' by new group, Imagine Dragons. I first heard 'It's Time' due to it being covered on 'Glee' in 2012, I fell in love with it pretty much straight away and was CERTAIN it'd be as big as 'We Are Young' by fun. was. It was only a semi-hit here in the UK (massive in the US though), due to 'Radioactive' completely overshadowing it. They have one more track still to come and where will their album finish up?

ALBUM:

DEMI LOVATO - DEMI CR: [1-1-1-1-1-3-5-5-4-4-4-6-7-8-8-6-8-10] - 18 Weeks

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2011 49 'Skyscraper'

2013 10 'Made In the USA'

2013 13 'Heart Attack'

ALBUMS:

2011 32 'Unbroken'

2013 08 'Demi'

Top 5:

01. 'Made In the USA'

02. 'Really Don't Care'

03. 'Heart Attack'

04. 'Neon Lights'

05. 'Warrior'

And at number 8 in the albums, we have Demi Lovato who, like I mentioned before, completely came into her own this year and delivered not only on the singles front or as a pop star, but also one of my favourite albums of 2013. I think it helps that when watching her perform, you can tell that she idolises the Queen herself and it's so cute seeing her tweet stuff and saying how much she loves Kelly C <3

That was until 2013, and they released 'Gun' and suddenly, they appealed to me.

THAT IS DEFINITELY VERY SUPER DUPER SHOCKING!!1 :o :o

BRITNEY SPEARS - WORK BITCH CR: [1-1-1-1-1-2-5-7-15-18-22-29-38-48-50] - 15 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2008 02 'Womanizer'

2008 14 'Piece Of Me'

2008 39 'Break the Ice'

2009 22 'Circus'

2009 65 'If U Seek Amy'

2009 67 '3'

2011 08 'Till the World Ends'

2011 12 'Hold It Against Me'

2011 33 'I Wanna Go'

2011 65 'Criminal'

2012 32 'Scream & Shout' (will.i.am. feat.)

2013 07 'Work Bitch'

ALBUMS:

2008 02 'Circus'

2011 03 'Femme Fatale'

In at #7 in the singles is Britney Jean Spears, who tells us all to work, BITCH. 'Work Bitch' is an aggressive and persistent song that doesn't really give you much time to breathe! It's no wonder this will be one of the anthems of January 2014 with all those workout plans and gym goings. I'm sure it's one of the main songs used to get people motivated and break out a sweat! Amazing song and CRACKING video! Best she's looked since the nightgown scene in the 'Womanizer' video <3 and obviously best choreography she's done since ITZ era. She really WORKED, BITCH. One more song for R Britters!

ALBUM:

MILEY CYRUS - BANGERZ CR: [4-1-1-3-3-3-5-5-7-8-8-10-8] - 13 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2008 50 '7 Things'

2008 55 'See You Again'

2013 11 'Wrecking Ball'

2013 18 'We Can't Stop'

ALBUMS:

2010 11 'Can't Be Tamed'

2013 07 'Bangerz'

Top 5:

01. 'Drive'

02. 'Wrecking Ball'

03. 'We Can't Stop'

04. 'Maybe You're Right'

05. 'SMS (Bangerz)'

Finishing her EOY reign finally with a top 10 finish! Miley Cyrus finishes the year at number 7 with her best album yet! 'Bangerz' is like her 'In The Zone' to 'Can't Be Tamed''s 'Britney'! I am very much looking forward to her next album, ESPECIALLY if it's to be the equivalent to her 'Blackout'! *.* But seriously, how is 'Drive' not a single yet? It's perfect.

BRITNEY SPEARS - PERFUME CR: [2-3-2-1-3-5-8-5] - 8 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2008 02 'Womanizer'

2008 14 'Piece Of Me'

2008 39 'Break the Ice'

2009 22 'Circus'

2009 65 'If U Seek Amy'

2009 67 '3'

2011 08 'Till the World Ends'

2011 12 'Hold It Against Me'

2011 33 'I Wanna Go'

2011 65 'Criminal'

2012 32 'Scream & Shout' (will.i.am. feat.)

2013 06 'Perfume'

2013 07 'Work Bitch'

ALBUMS:

2008 02 'Circus'

2011 03 'Femme Fatale'

At number 6 and giving her, her fourth EOY top 10 finish, it's Britney again and this time it's the rather beautiful 'Perfume'! Her first ballad release in nearly 10 years!!! What a lovely song too. My favourite single from her in absolutely ages actually. The most natural her voice has sounded since 'Shadow' back in the 'In the Zone' era! Hoping it can go against the odds and be a massive hit for her, but it really isn't looking very likely to be a minor hit, let alone the huge one it deserves to be!

THE KILLERS - DIRECT HITS: 2003-2013 CR: [2-2-2-4-5-3-3] - 7 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2008 08 'Human'

2009 19 'Spaceman'

2012 07 'Here With Me'

2012 18 'Runaways'

2012 53 'Miss Atomic Bomb'

2013 36 'Shot At the Night'

2013 62 'Christmas In LA'

ALBUMS:

2008 04 'Day & Age'

2012 01 'Battle Born'

2013 06 'Direct Hits: 2003-2013'

Top 5:

01. 'Mr. Brightside'

02. 'When You Were Young'

03. 'Human'

04. 'A Dustland Fairytale'

05. 'Miss Atomic Bomb'

Usually I disqualify Greatest Hits collections, but now I include them, but "penalise" them a bit. This is because if I like an artists discography, they're always going to be number 1 with a greatest hits album, imo. Especially one done by The Killers (i.e my favourite band/group of all time). It's SO GOOD hearing all of their hits, back to back in this collection. A couple of bizarre omissions though, like 'Bones'! But it's still flawless, even if they aren't *quite* the same band as they once were ('Hot Fuss'!).

You are WRONG. Very, VERY wrong.

I am in charge of his AF, therefore I cannot be wrong about anything to do with him. :drink:

Perfume higher than Work Bitch?

IMAGINE DRAGONS - DEMONS CR: [17-9-13-21-25-32-40-46-X(10)-20-10-2-5-9-16-20-27-31-39-45] - 19 Weeks

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2013 05 'Demons'

2013 08 'It's Time'

ALBUMS:

NCP

Starting the top 5 is Imagine Dragons second top 10 EOY placing and their highest positioning. 'Demons' is an anthemic, indie-rock ballad that became pretty much an instant highlight back when I first heard the album at the beginning of the year. It's just gone on to be an absolute smash in America, so I'm really hoping it gets a proper push for the UK now it's been massive Stateside!

ALBUM:

IMAGINE DRAGONS - NIGHT VISIONS CR: [1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-3-2-2-2-2-2-2-3-3-4-3-4-6-7-9] - 24 Weeks

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2013 05 'Demons'

2013 08 'It's Time'

ALBUMS:

2013 05 'Night Visions'

Top 5:

01. 'Demons'

02. 'It's Time'

03. 'Hear Me'

04. 'Nothing Left to Say'

05. 'Every Night'

Also grabbing themselves a top 5 EOY album, it's Imagine Dragons and their debut release 'Night Visions'. It's very much like a cross between a The Killers album and a OneRepublic album. It's basically anthemic, stadium rock and unlike other stadium rock albums, it manages to sound quite current and very now. 'Hear Me' is the track The Killers never recorded. It's brilliant!

LITTLE MIX - MOVE CR: [6-6-5-3-6-2-4-9-12-13-18-23-27-23] - 14 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2011 36 'Cannonball'

2012 02 'DNA'

2012 08 'Wings'

2013 04 'Move'

2013 61 'Change Your Life'

2013 83 'How Ya Doin'?'

ALBUMS:

2012 04 'DNA'

Up next in my EOY rundown are Little Mix! Since the X Factor they've shown a ridiculous amount of potential and then they absolutely exceeded expectations with their first era. Up next was the tricky 2nd era and whether or not they'd be able to live up to their hype and keep their success going. 'Move' premiered and it was ridiculously catchy, without having an obvious, instant chorus. But with more and more listens, it infected you. It's still failing to do anything but grow on me. BRILLIANT SINGLE.

ALBUM:

KELLY CLARKSON - WRAPPED IN RED CR: [2-2-2-4-4-3-3-1-1-1] - 10 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2009 02 'Already Gone'

2009 03 'My Life Would Suck Without You'

2009 57 'I Do Not Hook Up'

2012 13 'Catch My Breath'

2012 57 'Dark Side'

2013 25 'People Like Us'

2013 51 'Tie It Up'

ALBUMS:

2009 02 'All I Ever Wanted'

2011 01 'Stronger'

2012 03 'Greatest Hits: Chapter One'

2013 04 'Wrapped In Red'

Top 5:

01. 'Underneath the Tree'

02. 'Winter Dreams (Brandon's Song)'

03. 'Every Christmas'

04. '4 Carats'

05. 'Wrapped In Red'

At number 4 and keeping her streak of EOY top 4 albums, is the Queen of all Queens, Kelly Clarkson. This time it is with her Christmas album, 'Wrapped In Red' which is full of covers and has a fair amount of new, original future Christmas classics. This album was apparently an album she's always wanted to make and was it worth it? HELL YEAH. The best Christmas album I've ever listened too. (I've only heard hers and Leona's tbf! But Shhhhh!) Really hoping 'Underneath the Tree' becomes the Christmas staple it truly deserves to be and I look forward to hearing 'Winter Dreams' soundbedding a few Christmas adverts in the future!

KELLY CLARKSON - UNDERNEATH THE TREE CR: [1-1-1-4-5-2-2-2-1-1] - 10 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2009 02 'Already Gone'

2009 03 'My Life Would Suck Without You'

2009 02 'All I Ever Wanted'

2011 01 'Stronger'

2012 03 'Greatest Hits: Chapter One'

2013 04 'Wrapped In Red'

At number 3 is the future Christmas classic by the Queen Kelly Clarkson (I don't know if I've mentioned how much of a Queen I think she is, before), 'Underneath the Tree'. It's been dubbed "the new 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'" by many people. It's amazing at just how brilliant and timeless it already sounds. A future classic, for sure! It spent 10 weeks in my chart (it fell out the week after I compiled this EOY chart - I just didn't get round to posting it until now ) 5 of those at number 1 and the rest inside the top 5!

ALBUM:

BRITNEY SPEARS - BRITNEY JEAN CR: [1-2-4-4] - 4 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2008 02 'Womanizer'

2008 14 'Piece Of Me'

2008 39 'Break the Ice'

2009 22 'Circus'

2011 12 'Hold It Against Me'

2011 33 'I Wanna Go'

2011 65 'Criminal'

2012 32 'Scream & Shout' (will.i.am. feat.)

2013 06 'Perfume'

2013 07 'Work Bitch'

ALBUMS:

2008 02 'Circus'

2011 03 'Femme Fatale'

2013 03 'Britney Jean'

Top 5:

01. 'Now That I Found You'

02. 'Perfume'

03. 'Passenger'

04. 'Work Bitch'

05. 'Alien'

The number 3 album comes courtesy of Britney Jean Spears who continues her EOY top 3 album placings, with her 2nd semi-self titled (and 8th overall) album 'Britney Jean'. In about four albums time, I'm sure she'll name her album 'Britney Jean Spears'. But anyway, moving on and this album is just flawless. By FAR my favourite Britney album since the phenomenal 'Blackout'. It's a lot more raw and personal than any other album she's done before. It really has taken the best bits of every single Britney album and blended them all so perfectly into one! 'Now That I Found You' is my favourite song of hers I've heard since 'Quicksand' from the 'Circus' era. It's perfect and if it was released, I'm fairly confident that if she was to tag Avicii on there, it'd be absolutely MASSIVE.

GONNA GET THE ALBUMS OUT OF THE WAY NOW...

ALBUM:

#02:

LITTLE MIX - SALUTE CR: [1-1-1-2-4-5-5] - 7 Weeks **STILL CHARTING**

EOY Positions:

SINGLES:

2011 36 'Cannonball'

2012 02 'DNA'

2012 08 'Wings'

2013 04 'Move'

2013 61 'Change Your Life'

2013 83 'How Ya Doin'?'

ALBUMS:

2012 04 'DNA'

2013 02 'Salute'

Top 5:

01. 'Move'

02. 'Towers'

03. 'These Four Walls'

04. 'Salute'

05. 'See Me Now'

Into the final two albums now and at number 2 is the incredible 2nd album from my favourite girl group since the Spice Girls, Little Mix and 'Salute'. Everyone has heard of "the sophomore slump" or the "tricky second album", but these girls absolutely NAILED it and found the PERFECT sound for them as a group. The Destiny's Child influences throughout this album are so, SO strong and their vocals are ridiculously tight especially on the ballads and THAT note from Perrie in 'About The Boy'. I honestly cannot (at this moment - and I've been listening for a good couple of months now!) find one flaw or weak link with the album. I can listen to every track and not get bored of it! FLAWLESS. PERFECTION. LITTLE MIX.

Top 5:

01. 'Mirrors'

02. 'Blue Ocean Floor'

03. 'Suit & Tie'

04. 'Pusher Love Girl'

05. 'Tunnel Vision'

So the number 1 album is (surprise, surprise) the King himself, Justin Timberlake. Snatching those wigs and weaves from all over the place to the left, right and center and then back around again. Such a flawless album that flows perfectly as one! Took me a while to pick out individual favourites, but I genuinely couldn't stop listening to this from start to finish and in it's 1hr and 19mins entirety. 'Blue Ocean Floor' is quite possibly the 2nd most beautiful song I've heard in 2013 (behind 'Mirrors', duh). I just love everything about this album (and him tbh ). So brilliant! See you in about another 6 years for album 5 Mr JT! FLAWLESS. PERFECTION. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.

So, a surprise to nobody I should think, my number 2 song of 2013 is the ultimate pop, self motivation song, 'Roar' by none other than the current Queen of pop hooks an melodies, Katy Perry. When the song first premiered it was love from the first go! It went on to spend 5 weeks as my number 1 song and after falling out for one week around Christmas, it made a return and hasn't moved away from the top 50 since. Still really not bored of it and I find it so ridiculously feel good and uplifting! Then we have the video... WOW. What a video <3

So here we have it. It's OFFICIAL. It's quite possibly the most obvious EOY number 1 since, well last year when I had 'Euphoria' do it! But another year and another song has to get there and it really couldn't have been a better song! The song is fast approaching 'My Love' as my favourite JT song and I'm pretty certain it's the most perfect love song ever written. It's just a flawless song and highlights everything that's right about Mr Timberlake. More of the same, please! (Anyone!)
