Thanks for the constant updates guys. I hope Salute becomes a big hit in terms of sales. It deserves to be!

Quite reasonable sales for Salute considering the singles weren't as good as DNA's singles I'd say.

Salute can make platinum, the salute single will give it a short term boost for now, continuing low sales after that should see the album reach platinum by the end of the year.

My estimate it'll stop around 300k, platinum maybe sometime but not the end of the year.

For it to go Platinum this year it needs another 56,000 sales, with roughly 29 weeks left (someone might know better than me when the chart year ends this time).

 

So if my maths haven't failed me that would be an average of just over 1,931 copies a week. ATM that seems to be about position 45 - 50. I'm not sure that's possible, but you never know if later in the year they get a massive single out it may boost the Salute album when the album market is healthier. Worth keeping an eye on as it's not out of reach, but I would say it would be impressive at this stage if they managed it. :)

I'm still willing them to put out a re-release, preceded by new singles in August and November. This album's too good to abandon so soon. :(

Thanks to the YTD thread we have updates for Move, Word Up & Salute along with the Salute album. If anyone has any other corrections / updates please don't hesitate to say.

 

Going by the mid weeks Salute (single) is on track to pass 100k this week. :)

I'm thinking 'Salute' could end up somewhere in between 'Change Your Life' and 'Little Me' which would be a GREAT result, imo.

I agree. It's still getting a lot of airplay from Capital and is securely within the top 40. I think it'll manage a fair few sales yet. Could make 140k.

Maybe. But tbf, I was expecting it to be outside the top 40 on iTunes by this week or next, so to see it hold up on iTunes as well as it has done, it's exceeded my expectations. But we shall see! :o
