#5: Alisa and Lysandra Fraser - The Block: Sky High (340 Points)

CHAMPIONS. Being the only two winners left, it's time for them to drop out in 5th place.

Alisa and Lysandra were on The Block: Sky High, an Australian Renovation show where couples renovate a space. They were one of 5 couples (Sisters) that competed to renovate a "Sky High" apartment building. Initially things did NOT look good for Alisa and Lysandra as they lost the very first challenge, and had to renovate Floor #1; in a High Rise this was going to prove a challenge.

 

Initially I didn't even like them. They caused fights and argued between the two. My love from them comes from what they renovated.

Simply Stunning. I think the week they probably took over being my favorites was "BrushGate" - Fellow Competitor Trixie was nice enough to buy the Twins a brush to paint the side of their building. Argument erupted because the Twins didn't feel that the brush was adequate to paint the side of the building. One of the twins even went back to the Supplier to confirm it was an inadquate brush. HILAR. No thank you - just a f*** you.

Yup. They created an apartment worth 1.4 Million Dollars. They ended up winning the whole show, and pocketing almost $400,000 as a team.

EVEN BETTER. They have been invited back to renovate in Fans vs. Favourites, and they're better than ever!

Tahan <3 easily one of my absolute favourite housemates EVER. She started off a bit whiny and I thought she'd maybe be a shit Nikki Graeme, but I knew there was potential. It wasn't long before she fulfilled that and completely stole the series! She was amazingly entertaining and just hilarious, really she was robbed. I did love Jade and Tim but Tahan was just another level - at least we did get a good winner though rather than Ben! Shame she's not top 2 with Gina, but Gina must walk it now :wub:

But Dan was much more than a hot body to admire on this season of Big Brother. He was actually a fairly decent housemate.

Seriously, he probably thought he was the only real housemate in there.

I was initially worried for Dan, he was way over the top in the first few weeks. A masculine sexy man shortly started turning into a stuck up, bitchy, stereotypical gay guy. I was worried initially if he was put up in the wrong week that he would be toast. Luckily for us he mellowed out a little bit with Michael/Wolfie being evicted and he provided us some stellar entertainment.

Oh right. The Hazel/Dan friendship. How random. It seemed like at some points he was being honest with her and giving her some solid advise. But of course Hazel was a total c**t and took it the wrong way and threw it back in Dan's face. I actually think Dan is a pretty level headed individual when he WANTS to be. Obviously he lashed out on Joe... Or Jack? and Gemima and her dead child or whatever.. oh and than there were the Dexter arguments/almost love hexigon... Okay so maybe he wasn't level headed.

At the end of the day, Dan got a really shitty deal with the whole twist putting Sam/Dan and Sophie up. I'm still upset that he was the one to go in that situation because he was FAR more entertaining than either of those two idiots. He really should have been in the finals.

Dan :wub: I went off him a lot during the series, but looking back he was one of the best housemates in there! (and he needs to give us regular GT/Attitude shoots because his recent one is just DIVINE :heehee:)

Points Wise... the Top 3 (Dexter, Gina & Tim - ALPHABETICAL ORDER!) have way more points than even Dan did.

Infact the point difference between Dan and 3rd Place is 178 Points.

 

I think my Top Three is amaze. They truly dominated their shows. Dan was amazing, but he came nowhere close to the Slyness of Dexter. Queeness of Gina and the OTTness of Tim.

Dan was seriously awful. Sorry.

Dan was amazing to look at :wub: so much so I could pretty much forgive the fact he was so bitchy and vile. The whole "SHE ISN'T DEAD" thing with Jemima was pretty much the best non-Gina moment of the series though!

 

Really hope Gina wins and not Dexter :(

As discussed. Top 3 and the rest of the top 10. Not even close.

Tim Dormer was the WINNER of Big Brother Australia this year. Probably could have picked that one from episode one, huh?

Extroverted, Essentric.. Tim was probably one of the smartest casting choices Big Brother Australia ever made.

 

What was shocking was he didn't get 90%+ of the votes to win.

There are a million highlights for Tim, but one of my favorites was his friendship with Drew and the alliances he made in the house. Unlike Mikkayla, Jade, Ed and Co. Tim was all about having fun and shit stirring. His "best mates" in the house kept the divide interesting and entertained us all Summer. As stated before, this would be the side I'd want to be on if I was in the house..

As much as I said Tim had no contest in winning, he really did have ONE competitor. Ben.

If it wasn't going to be Tim, it was going to be Ben.. we can all at least admit to that. However when Ben was evicted in a shock eviction (see above), it became very clear that Tim was going to win. He even milked a few tears when Ben was evicted to gain favor.

 

As much as Tim was smart. He was manipulative and played up to the cameras.. but this was a very smart and calculated set of moves which obviously worked.

Oh, and of course there was the Tim/Tully Drama.. than Not Drama... I think honestly their "fights" were staged by them, but Tim's nomination of "TULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" *turns around and points at her* when they were in the Nomination Chamber was hilarious. He always took it just that little bit too far.

 

Tim was simply just amazingly entertaining. I'm glad he was casted, and as much as I hate obvious winners. I'm glad he won. He deserved it.

I was on cloud nine the week Tahan got most votes to save :lol: even moreso given that Ben was evicted that week, I was resigned to him winning all the way up until his shock eviction but really couldn't take to him at all... I was happy with Tim winning though I said earlier in this thread I would have happy with any of him, Jade and Tahan winning even if Tahan was my favourite by miles. Tim was amazingly entertaining, a great gameplayer and simply great fun to watch.

 

Gina ftw now definitely! She's one of the best reality contestants in any show ever, let alone just this year. Dexter was slimy and awful though :(

Dexter to win now please for actually being a game player and snaking his way to the final. Gina was just a loud-mouthed spoiled brat.

Really? Spending $121,060 doesn't get you alot these days. What the hell is Ace of Spade Math? Did he get some tutoring?

What it does get you is a 3 month stint on Big Brother UK.

Shockingly, Dexter made it all the way to the end of Big Brother UK 2013; and finished in 2nd place. Shocking since I had him pegged as an early series boot.

 

The one thing I will say with Channel 5. They did an amazing job of casting this series, and making sure their Golden Housemates stuck around (Gina, Dexter, Hazel).

I'm happy with the British Public chosing entertainment over having all the boring people at the end of the series (with exception of the Winner and Sophie of course).

Dexter was complexed, layed and extravagent. Just look at his poise. Step into the Bedroom my fellow minions. Let's take a look at all the expensive clothes I own. Oh, I'm sorry Callum, I know you can't afford anything I own.

The one storyline that was completely overplayed this series was the Dexter/Charlie and Callum Love Triangle. Here is how I weigh into this situation:

- Dexter is a complete fraud. He tried with Hazel before trying anything with Charlie

- When Hazel completely shut down Dexter, he moved on quite quickly. In the same episode if I remember correctly

- I believe Callum and Charlie completely saw this as opprotunities to stay relevant in the show and played along

- I actually think Callum and Dexter got along quite well, and all their fighting and arguments were completely staged

 

It really took "Reality TV" to the next level. It was like watching a Reality Show within a Reality Show.

Dexter created layers of entertainment.

Although I think alot of what he did was fake and calculated - it was interesting to watch.

 

 

Dexter going in truly had no appeal. We all knew he was going to be hated. But Dexter truly did an amazing job of story creation and manipulation. Making it all the way to the end was amazing.

 

His friendship with Gina was truly a match made in heaven. I think she was smart not to trust him up until what.. Week 6? But Dexter was honest in saying he was going to lie and manipulate anyone to get to where he needed to be.

 

 

I would watch a reality show with just the two of them, slamming on their other housemates and judging people of the general public.

 

His fake eviction was also hilarious. Much Tears. Wow. Most Fake Eviction. Wow. Many Public Likes.

 

 

Week after Week he was saved by the public. I really hope if there is another Big Brother Allstars that Dexter is seriously considered.

QUEEN Gina Rio completely dominiated in my Daily Charts on Big Brother UK, and beats out Dexter Koh by an IMPRESSIVE 76 Points.

 

Where oh Where can I begin with Gina Rio. Let's take a walk through her time on Big Brother UK:

 

 

EARLY SEASON GINA RIO

We all knew Gina was going to be a handfull before even going into the house. Labled as "Britan's Most Spoiled Child" Gina had a significant arrogance about herself and her lifestyle.

Gina went in and straight off the bat was nominated with Dexter and Sallie. Poor decision by the Producers to allow the GBP to nominate/evict 3 people straight off the bat. What did you think was going to happen? We'd choose 3 Borewhores.

I'll admit. I didn't think Gina would survive against Sallie - and I almost didn't want her to. Sallie to me showed more worth in the first week. But I'll eat my words. I'm glad in the long run that Gina survived.

 

Gina proved in the first few weeks that she could be tempermental. She picked fights with Sallie, Jemima and I believe she even had a spat with Dexter around "Trust".

Things looked bleak for Gina in the first few weeks. Her housemates were consistantly putting her up for Eviction.

Gina didn't seem to really click with anyone in the first few weeks...

This was when things started changing for Gina.

Towards the middle of the season, Gina really opened up. She completed a sickining eating challenge where she not only won the respect of her housemates.. The GBP started to see her in a better light and her odds started to improve.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Gina really "changed" but she started to form friendships in the house. More notisably with Dexter, Charlie and some borewhore named Sophie.

 

The Dexter/Gina relationship was rather complex. Their frienship was really foreged from Social Status and Isolation by the other housemates.. but to me it was interesting to watch. What was also interesting was that Gina would put Dexter in his place. She questioned him about his infamous "night out" and really called out alot of his bullshit. Mid-Season Gina was really all about having fun, but being level headed as well.

The GBP really got to see Gina for her worth, entertainment and putting herself in situations that we would never really see Gina put into.

Gina ended up topping The Odds To Win for a number of weeks.. this was until 2 weeks before the finals..

 

END SEASON GINA RIO

 

All good things must come to an end. I suppose.

It seemed like it was dead set that Gina would have an excellent chance of winning. She went to becoming top of the leaderboard in odds, and the House even knew she was a favorite to win.

However, with two weeks to go.. things began to slip a bit. One word - HAZEL.

I can't fully blame Hazel for the Gina loss, but it played a huge factor and Gina should have learned she needed to control herself.

Our once fun loving Princess Gina started to go back to the way she entered the house. Isolating her allies and picking fights.

I can't think that if Hazel would have gone a few weeks earlier, or if Gina kept her cool.. Perhaps she would have won.

 

But still. Gina made it all the way to the end. Came 3rd.. which really is the BBUK Winner's Spot.. is it not?!
