Posted January 2, 201411 yr So here it is! This year's chart has incorporated 52 weeks, in this time they have been 150 top 10 hits which have been rated by 1369 votes (a 59% increase from last year). These are their overall standings. Obviously, the longer a song has spent in the OCC top ten, the more votes it gets to be higher on either end of the spectrum, this countdown will hopefully be over in January/February, and will run seperately from the main chart which will be posted as normal, tomorrow after the OCC top ten is announced. January 2, 201411 yr Author Which song do you think will be the least popular in the charts, here's the results from 2009 to 2012 2009: Pitbull - I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) 2010: Justin Bieber ft. Ludactris - Baby 2011: Chris Brown - Yeah 3X 2012: One Direction - Little Things Will be announcing the results at some point today.
January 2, 201411 yr Will you be posting the list rated by average score per week again? (Both are interesting in their own ways ~) Thinking last place will be 1D again with 'One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)' but I'm not sure.
January 2, 201411 yr Author Will you be posting the list rated by average score per week again? (Both are interesting in their own ways ~) Thinking last place will be 1D again with 'One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)' but I'm not sure. Yes, I will be giving the average for each song and then doing a list at the end, as well as a list of the artists with Reshuffle #1s and a combined list of all songs since I took over (Jan 2011). I'll post them after announcing the #1.
January 2, 201411 yr Author 150. ONE DIRECTION - STORY OF MY LIFE (-341 POINTS) W-TE_Ys4iwM WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 9 OCC PEAK: 2 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 8 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 21 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 47 POSITIVE VOTES: 85 NEGATIVE VOTES: 175 RUN: 10-8-9-9-7-7-7-8-8 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -37.8889 So finishing last in 2013, for a second year running are the One Direction boys with their current top ten single "Story Of My Life", the song is quite unlucky to do so, as it started to become more popular, but was still getting negative scores each week. Also, it has far fewer -5's than the song with the most. To be honest, I don't mind this song that much and started giving it positive scores at the end, and they are certainly worse boy band ballads I have heard, however there's nothing really special about it either. January 2, 201411 yr Author 149. DAVID GUETTA FT. NE-YO & AKON - PLAY HARD (-326 POINTS) 5dbEhBKGOtY WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 4 OCC PEAK: 6 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 10 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 0 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 31 POSITIVE VOTES: 10 NEGATIVE VOTES: 94 RUN: 10-9-10-10 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -81.5 Just escaping the dubious honor of last place is David Guetta, who you can say has had a somewhat fall of grace since winning last year with "Titanium" and since this was his only top ten this year, there's no chance of repeating it. Perhaps teaming up with two of Buzzjack's seemingly reviled stars, Ne-Yo & Akon didn't help either. The song is quite lazy sampling off the superior "Better Off Alone" by Alice DeeJay, and doesn't really go anywhere. None of you liked it enough to give it a single +5, which means it is one of 25 songs this year to not get one, and obviously it's the lowest.
January 2, 201411 yr Author 148. ONE DIRECTION - ONE WAY OR ANOTHER (TEENAGE KICKS) (-326 POINTS) 36mCEZzzQ3o WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 4 OCC PEAK: 1 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 10 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 5 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 50 POSITIVE VOTES: 24 NEGATIVE VOTES: 102 RUN: 10-10-9-10-10 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -65.2 So the song that you were expecting to come last managed to place a couple of places higher but still in the bottom ten, also meaning that Guetta's in a One D sandwich, make of that what you will. One Direction are one of two acts in the countdown to have two places in the bottom ten, This was this year's Comic Relief single and managed number one whilst also earning a lot of money for the charity, it's a mash up of Blondie & The Undertones both of which have been nowhere near the top ten before. I actually don't mind the song, and it's probably my guilty pleasure of the year. OWOA (TK) finishes higher than PH as it recieved five "+5"s compared to PH's none.
January 2, 201411 yr Author 147. NELLY - HEY PORSCHE (-305 POINTS) Fh1ZFNoREjg WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 5 OCC PEAK: 6 (2wks) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 17 POSITIVE VOTES: 20 NEGATIVE VOTES: 104 RUN: 10-8-10-10-9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -61 Up next is Nelly's sort of comeback with this summery song to a car/girl that always seemed to be on the radio at the time. The song did have one fan who gave it a "+5" one week, but that wasn't enough to save it from the bottom ten. The song is too boring for me to like, all I can remember of it vaguely is the chants of "Hey Porsche".
January 2, 201411 yr Author 146. GARY BARLOW - LET ME GO (-285 POINTS) ENrj5u_lrWw WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 4 OCC PEAK: 2 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 10 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 0 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 21 POSITIVE VOTES: 22 NEGATIVE VOTES: 97 RUN: 10-10-10-9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -71.25 Placing in the bottom ten for the first time either solo or with Take That, Barlow's Let Me Go failed to capture Buzzjack's hearts or their "+5"s, the song has been critized by many for being a Mumford & Sons knock off (although to be fair, the group are hardly the first ones to do this type of music either), but I always think the breakdown in this sound similar to the one in "We Are Young" by fun. Also, the song managed to break the record for worst single week points, which was -105. Harsh.
January 2, 201411 yr Author 145. BRUNO MARS - WHEN I WAS YOUR MAN (-265 POINTS) ekzHIouo8Q4 WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 9 OCC PEAK: 2 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 7 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 0 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 11 POSITIVE VOTES: 73 NEGATIVE VOTES: 153 RUN: 6-7-7-7-8-8-6-9-9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -29.4444 The next entry to the top ten is another I quite like, although obviously never enough to give it a "+5", it's not surprising it's here however as Bruno has never fared well in the game, this being his third time in the bottom as "Grenade" & "The Lazy Song" both managed it in 2011, this song is a nice ballad telling the story well and sung nicely. Bruno still has "Locked Out Of Heaven" to go in the countdown, will he manage to stop it being in the bottom ten?
January 2, 201411 yr Author 144. WILL.I.AM - BANG BANG (-263 POINTS) Tqjl4nRSorM WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 6 OCC PEAK: 3 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 8 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 1 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 17 POSITIVE VOTES: 40 NEGATIVE VOTES: 122 RUN: 5-8-7-10-10-10 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -43.8333 Another bottom ten veteran is next with Will.I.Am with the rare solo single "Bang Bang", joining "OMG" with Usher & "Hall Of Fame" with The Script in the annals of Reshuffle bottom ten history. The song started out OK, with the Charleston music, but quickly descended into (IMO) unlistenable crap when Will.I.Am started "singing".
January 2, 201411 yr Author 143. PASSENGER - LET HER GO (-255 POINTS) RBumgq5yVrA WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 14 OCC PEAK: 2 (1wk) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 7 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 12 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 36 POSITIVE VOTES: 149 NEGATIVE VOTES: 230 RUN: 7-6-3-2-8-7-5-6-7-7-8-9-9-9 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -18.2143 The first of 2013's four million selling singles is unfortunately Passenger's "Let Her Go" which were more than likely due to overexposure and being eligble in the game for so long, as in the beginning it looked to having a respectable positive finish. I can see why the song would grate on people, and I look forward to being able to enjoy it again in the future when it stops being everywhere.
January 2, 201411 yr Author 142. BAAUER - HARLEM SHAKE (-230 POINTS) Bk1_DbbzSdY WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 4 OCC PEAK: 3 (2wks) RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 9 AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 2 AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 50 POSITIVE VOTES: 31 NEGATIVE VOTES: 74 RUN: 9-9-9-10 AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -57.5 Up next is the viral song hoping to rival PSY's "Gangnam Style" in terms of success, fortunately in the UK, it didn't manage to do it. I hate the track, I hate the stupid meme behind it and am glad it's in the bottom ten, only wish it could have been lower.
January 2, 201411 yr I didn't realise 'Hall Of Fame' was in the bottom 10 last year. Well deserved, that song would just not die. :( I actually really liked 'Bang Bang' at first, but it became completely intolerable after about 2 weeks in the chart, so its placement is understandable.
