January 25, 201411 yr The continuity announcer on BBC Four. Richard Osman. Bill (King of f*cking awkward interviews and laughing at his own jokes) Turnbull The fact that ITV seem to use them to present every bloody show there is going says more about the DEARTH of talent in the UK currently than how great 'Ant and Dec' are. They are bland and completely devoid of talent. i still think ant and dec are good at what they do you wouldn't get people such as jonathan ross or graham norton presenting takeaway or i'm a celeb, as it just wouldn't have the same humour- and ant and dec cater for all audiences. family friendly shows, that is what is important too i really go against the statement ant and dec are bland. if that was the case they'd have been axed from ITV years ago and they'd not bee successfull, they'd not win as many awards as they do, they wouldn't have people voting for them. why do people vote for ant and dec. because they like them and think they deserve to win awards

ITV thrive upon bland presenters. You just need to take a look at their biggest shows to see that not a single one of them has an ounce of personality - Phillip Schofield, Christine Bleakley, Holly Willoughby, Vernon Kay (he's a knob to match it), the list goes on.

You just need to take a look at their biggest shows to see that not a single one of them has an ounce of personality - Phillip Schofield, Christine Bleakley, Holly Willoughby, Vernon Kay (he's a knob to match it), the list goes on. how can you say that? ant and dec's saturday night takeaway, i'm a celeb, britain's got tallent, all really awsome shows. and why are they awsome shows?. ant and dec host them, that's why. they are funny, and amazing and as i've just said above, give those shows to someone else and they won't be as good. as for bland presenters, well, chris tarant i'd put right up their, along with over rated harry hill (who does not make me laugh in the slightest). oh, and that guy who does it will be all right on the night.. i can't stand him so i guess i see your point from the perspective of ITV thrive on bland presenters, but ant and dec are excluded from that because they are really good, funny, family friendly presenters
January 25, 201411 yr I absolutely do think Ant & Dec are 'bland', but in the same way as almost EVERY tea time/family oriented presenter. In order to appeal to the wide audiences they attract that's what they need to do, and they do it well clearly. It's just not the type of humour I enjoy and thus I think they are overrated and don't think they deserve such plaudits over other people who I do find very funny. Dark, satirical, often pretty close to the line humour is what I like best.

January 27, 201411 yr Khali Best best newcomer, have a word i don't watch eastenders okay, that's 4 words (lol) but, they could have chosen emmerdale. i'm disgusted emmerdale got nothing
January 27, 201411 yr Emmerdale pick more up at the National Soap Awards than they do at the NTA's so not surprising really.
January 27, 201411 yr Emmerdale pick more up at the National Soap Awards than they do at the NTA's so not surprising really. they normally do but i dont think they will as they take mostly the second half of the year and the start of 2014 in to consideration. And to me it seems like EastEnders is well on its way again (especially with the Carters, Carols Breast Caner etc) and Hayley and Roy in Corrie i think it could be slim pickings for emmerdale this year, as i can see Corrie and EastEnders and even Hollyoaks picking up the awards. so the next award show is the BAFTAs right? Then the BRITs and then the British Soap Awards. Edited January 27, 201411 yr by #SamStrike
January 27, 201411 yr If they take the second half of 2013 into consideration, I'm sure everybody involved in the Cameron / Debbie / Chas storyline stands a whopper of a chance, but I do agree that with EastEnders' growing fantastic storylines they'll probably scoop a fair amount.
