It kind of looked like Kat when her back was turned as you could just see red hair (that's if she had dyed it again rather than it being that greasy looking purple it turned to). :P
I didn't think it was Rainie I a shocked but happy, by fair my favourite of the Cross family
I looked twice, as i never expected a return from her. The continuous flow of surprises of returnees are great and its returnees of relevant but not huge landmark characters.
Looks like there is more Johnny and Linda drama next week!

Causing Johnny to leave walford for an episode or two by the looks of it

, YAY for more Johnny though! (He my fave if you havent guessed already)

Patrick is a character i can easily live without. I dont dislike him but i dont like him at centre stage, he serves better as a supporting role in a storyline, i enjoyed the Patrick and Jim era the best. This storyline could change my mind on Patrick, i will judge on delivery of the storyline.

Ronnie! :o Did not see that coming!

I think it's pretty obvious Charlie Cotton is the father, I think she was going to tell him at The Vic but decided to leave instead. P.S. since it's bound to be brought up, I don't think in a million years she'll lose this baby. DTC is clever and won't go down the tragic heroine path again.

Shirley's a mess. This storyline's so predictable though. Shirley will turn up to stop the wedding and then Ben will be there and she'll change her mind when the memories of Heather come back. I love how she's conveniently forgotten her best friend who remained with her through thick and thin, unlike her family.
I just can't express how much I hate the whole Mick + Shirley story line. I loved them as siblings :(

Bit of a crap episode I found, although with this infamous clash with Corrie for half and hour tonight, it's not surprise (it's seems the show has done this on purpose throughout all the football and BGT clashes). Not sure where they are meant to be going with Ronnie, I know DTC said earlier in the year that she's going to become a villain rather than a bitch, but I can't figure out if they're trying to portray her as a psychopath of sorts. Would kind of explain her obsessive protection over Roxy I guess. But if this is the case then I'm not sure why they'd want Ronnie to have a kid (and I am curious as to what's going to happen there, like said above I can't see why they'd want her to have more tragedy regarding a child since it's been done a million times before; albeit very well done each time).

I feel storylines are getting a while to get into the swing of things too. I don't wish for them to be over and done within a couple of months, I quite like storylines that are spread out with lots of twists and turns, but there's nothing to keep us properly interested. They keep leaving them for a couple of weeks, focus on another story, then another, then return to the first. Like this Charlie Cotton story, it's just gone dead since his 'mother' turned up.

One final point, I do hope this Sharon/Phil/Shirley story isn't predictable like mentioned above. We were promised "massive" stuff for Phil and Sharon and this is a chance for Letitia to prove she's not actually a bad actress (because I've said it many times before, she was good the last time she was in the show 8 years back.

5.28m in the ratings last night following the infamous clash with Corrie for half an hour. Not so bad considering Corrie had the advantage of being shown first and with Eastenders generally getting ~5-6m ratings in the past few weeks due to other clashes.
It did pretty well I think. I expected it to drop close to 4 million after that Friday rating when the World Cup started (3.9m).

Seems Alfie still had some hair extensions from Roxy left with him then.

Tonight's episode was a lot better than yesterday's; just flowed better and made more sense. Fitting that Linda sang a 'Candle in the Wind' aka a tribute to her favourite person!
