I would love to see Susan Tully (Michelle) return even if it was just for the 30th Anniversary episode next year, to be honest I wouldn't mind her returning to EE on a full time basis.

It's always slightly bugged me that Eastenders lack original characters, and that's mainly because the producers over the years have had a habit of killing off these classic characters. Looking at the cast list, the possible returns that would make sense are Michelle like you mentioned, Nick Cotton and Martin Fowler. It seems likely that Nick is returning what with it being pretty certain he's not actually dead, whilst Martin has been mentioned a lot recently and it would make sense for him to return (however I think I read an article saying the actor didn't want to/had no plans to return).

A return for Michelle would work with Sharon and Ian still being in the show, plus being possibly the most referred to character over the past few years. It may be interesting to see how Mark Fowler Jr. has turned out too, since he's not actually been seen on the show.

The other possibility is Michelle been re-cast if Susan Tully does not want to return. That would bring a whole new family into the new square, well it will be a new generation of The Fowlers in the square so to speak it just fills the void of the original Fowler family.

Since Ben is getting a re-cast for the third time

I think there would be a lot of backlash if they were to recast her, from both public and EE cast members both past and present, considering she's one of the original characters and I doubt chemistry with Sharon and Ian would be there. I think you can only really get away with re-casts if it's a child actor/actress or said character had only appeared a couple of times previous (i.e. Peggy in Eastenders who was first played by Jo Warne).

I'm guessing the job Tina is asking Aunt Babe about is the marijuana selling she mentioned earlier in the year? :P

Has her daughter been casted yet, got a feeling she is going to be the next new Carter

When does Kat return permanently? I want to see her back, and I want to see KAT back. What happened to the gobby, leopard-print, thick make-up Kat? The one who strutted around the square in her lingerie when she was pregnant in 2010? She seems to have had a personality transplant since DTC took over, which is one of very few errors he's made.

Looks like next week's Eastenders is one not to miss - particularly because of a confession about the night Lucy died: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/easte...~oIIfUHceId7ciy

Seems Eastenders has been cancelled for 8pm tonight, however what would be the repeat on BBC 3 at 10:30pm, is still scheduled. Not sure what's happening there..

Judging by twitter the football majorly ran over because nobody scored :drama: I can't see them leaving it to just be on BBC3, they'll probably just air it tomorrow maybe?

They probably air it tomorrow or a double episode on Thursday or Friday, BBC3 will probably transmit something else tonight.

edit... showing tonight's episode on Thursday

Russell Howard repeat has replaced EE on BBC 3.

If you can't wait until tomorrow, someone's uploaded the episode onto YouTube from the showing on RTE in Ireland yesterday.

Oh, good Dot AND Carol. I think i'll give it a miss.

Also, why is Sausage so hot? it should be illegal.
