Ah so 'Timber' has sneaked #1 after all (weren't people saying 'The Monster' was going to be #1 for months?) Would be nice to see 'Counting Stars' reaching #1 as well at some point.

Yesss Timber is finally #1! Definately deserved in my opinion.

Roars longetivity is amazing! Still top 10 on the digital songs when it was released 5 month ago!

Great to see Dark Horse with a top 10 peak already, hopefully it will be a future #1!

What happened with Unconditionally, and why is Dark Horse suddenly taking off?

'Unconditionally' was an album seller for Christmas ;)

I really don't know what went wrong with 'Unconditionally', it's a much better song than this as well. :(

Ah well, fair play to her as it's obviously gonna be huge.

'Unconditionally' was an album seller for Christmas ;)

So that's the line which has been taken to cover up the fact that it majorly flopped considering she's supposed to be the world's biggest female popstar right now.

I think he was joking. It was the 2nd single. Unless time travel becomes possible, they can't change that.

Headband never made top 50 sadly...

It seemed to spend ages in the chart though! I'm sure it was around since the summer.

Yay @ Pitbull at #1! It's not one of my faves right now but it's preferable to OneRepublic and Eminem.

You don't know with labels. I'm surprised they didn't issue a statement as soon as they realised it was flopping saying it's only a promo single and announce 'Dark Horse' as the proper 2nd single.

I think he was joking. It was the 2nd single. Unless time travel becomes possible, they can't change that.

I was, but in fairness you could actually argue that it was more of an album seller than a song that'd sell itself, if you get me. Prism did quite well in the US and UK over Christmas so you could attribute that to 'Unconditionally' getting so much airplay and encouraging album buyers if you were so inclined! Not saying you'd be right but it's arguable

'Radioactive' and 'Sail' are both closing in on the record for weeks on the Hot 100 - 71 and 70 weeks respectively with the record being 76 weeks ('I'm Yours'). And both of them climbed this week and are well above #51! :o

EDIT: I didn't mean to post this in this thread, can this be moved to the new Hot 100 thread please ~ (to clarify 71 and 70 are up to date totals although 'Sail' didn't climb this week)

Radioactive is nominated for Record of the Year (Grammys), so I think it will easily make 76 weeks.
