She is literally the IT girl of the moment. The darling of the internet (move over, cats) and a very talented actress! But what are your views on J-Law?

 

I absolutely adore her. She has everything you want, not only as qualities in a girlfriend but just how down to earth and "normal" she seems to be for someone who seems to be the biggest celebrity on the planet right about now. Whenever there are awards shows, I just find myself trying to look for stories about her little antics, like this one and how she "wanted to push Taylor Swift down the stairs".

 

Not only that though, I do believe she has a genuine presence on screen too. She's an extremely talented actress and I can definitely see her only getting bigger (and better in time)

 

Is she a force to be reckoned with in the future? Or do you literally see this as a bit of a "15 minutes of fame" sort of thing?

From what I've seen of her, I'm a big fan of her personality as she seems really funny and just down to earth. There should be more celebs like her!

She is AMAZING. Such a down to earth, witty and funny girl who transmits a great message to her audience and her fans. Wonderful role model <3 I could quote her ALL DAY to be quite honest.

 

Not sure about the whole Oscar thing because I still haven't even SEEN Silver Linings Playbook but I'm just in love with HER.

Love love love love love love love her. She's ridiculously likeable and talented (been wanting to watch Winter's Bone for YEARS now though ~ too depressing lawl) and f***ing witty. I LOVE that in a celebrity. I mean WHO THE FUCK would care about all that RED CARPET EVENT or OMG MOVIE INTERVIEW SHIT if there are no hilarious moments created by naturally funny people like J-Law!

 

She's becoming absolutely HUGE right now. Thankfully she won't be turning into a one-trick Twilight-pony Kristen Stewart because of having landed herself in two major films between 1st and 2nd Hunger Games parts! That's incredible.

 

Although she definitely needs to stop being in movies with Bradley Cooper. I know they say THIRD TIME'S A CHARM but SERIOUSLY gurl?! lmao!

I really like her but all this awards attention so early is worrying - peaking so early can be dangerous. I think she's got the chops - both comedic and dramatic, and it's rare to be so good at both - to plow through and have a long career, but a lot of the internet seems to want her blood and that's only going to worsen if she does win another Oscar (for what's a fun but essentially nothing role).

She is SO OVERRATED. She is a decent actress but not as amazing as everyone makes her out to be. Her personality is nice but sometimes it gets VERY annoying.

I've seen her in several filsm and while impressed, I have never thought "wow, she is awesome" She certainly did not deserve an Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook.

Bradley Cooper did a much better job in that and IMO he totally overshadowed her, he deserved an Oscar tbh.

Last time I checked Bradley wasn't female and J-Law isn't a man. So blame Daniel f***ing Day Lewis for that.

Well in his category OBV. He was beter than her in every way.

Technically doesn't matter if he was better than her or not. He was up against Daniel Day-Lewis, not J-Law.

 

I know that, but if her performance was deemed Oscar worthy, then his was too and he deserved to win one.

There were much more deserving nominees in Jennifer's category, Jennifer did not deserve one.

I'm sort of in the middle really. I think her role in Silver Linings was one that I was always going to struggle with so I didn't warm to it/her at all and as a result sort of felt she wasn't really overly deserving of the Oscar. On the other hand she was glorious in American Hustle and put in some great work in Hunger Games (even though, again, I'm not a massive fan of the character).

 

Her fag haggery with Josh Hutcherson is truly wonderful though.

People play down her acting ability and say she's over-rated, but I completely disagree. Even watching her in a scene where she isn't saying anything shows just how good she is. I can't take my eyes off her.

 

I think she deserves all of the success she's getting and long may it continue too.

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most promising actress right now..She seems to be good with every role (From action movies to comedies and drama). If someone hasn't watched "Winter's Bone" yet, he/she shouldn't have opinion for her..She was great and she proved that she has talent. But i don't think that she deserved the Golden Globe this time. Her performance was good but not something special..I think that many other actresses could play that role like her..She was like a caricature..

If I put aside the fact that Emmanuelle Riva was ROBBED at the Academy Awards last year, I absolutely adore J-Law. Fantastic personality and she deffinately has got what it takes to make it in the long run.

Wait, there are people who don't like her?

One of the most overrated young actresses of all time.

 

Never got the appeal on J-Law, tbh.
