If they're likeable, I could maybe get behind the idea... I mean there's only Priya, Skye and Aisha left for me, maybe Travis as he's quite likeable/a nice guy - he's just quite annoying. Any of the others would be shit winners. But even if they are likeable, with just one proper highlights show a week there's no way we'll get to see that when we're past the halfway point.

I'm on the Leo like wagon, don't love him like Skye or Priya, but I do enjoy him. He needs to stop nominating Priya tho.

Also, what was with Cat's tantrum over not being able to pick her outfit? Seriously!

She just walks in and does this mix of telling people off while starting to cry? She's supposed to be 30. She's acting like more of a child than Skye.

 

Sandra didn't handle that much better.. walks away calmly... WOAH!!!!!!! and tells David (i think..) that it was an attack on her? It wasn't even targetted at her! Cat just walked in and directed it at everyone.. it was Sandra that chose to walk away.

 

Also the editing on that episode was horrible. It was day, than night, than day - but I assume was supposed to be all the same day - but it wasn't! Infact I saw Sam in the background of one of the clips they showed.... he was evicted a week before that....

Just finished watching The Block Australia, and all I can say is wow - I'm pretty sure they won't be trying to sell multi million dollar apartments next year.

What happens is the contestants win whatever the highest bid is off the reserve (market) price of the apartment. Last year this worked insanely well. This year, not so much.

 

Last Years Results (what the apartments sold over the reserve, and what the contestants took home):

 

1st Place: $636,000

2nd Place: $616,000

3rd Place: $567,250

4th Place: $507,250

 

Everyone took home over $500,000

 

This Years Results:

 

1st Place: $335,000

2nd Place: $310,000

3rd Place: $40,000

4th Place: $10,000

5th Place: $10,000*

 

* The couple that finished 5th however wanted to pull back their apartment and list it on their own because initially when it went to action it was selling under the market price and nobody was bidding. However, last minute someone put in a bid just over the reserve so they legally had to sell the property.

 

Such a shame for these couples, especially 3rd - 5th place. They took months off work under the assumption that they'd be clearing over probably $200,000 (that's the minimum anyone has taken in the last 2 series). They managed the outcome fairly poorly on the show.. the two presenters basically were dumbfounded and couldn't explain anything. The couple that finished in 4th essentially walked off the show and refused to be interviewed.

I am really beginning to see Ryan winning... Tonnes of people don't want him to, he's horrible but he's a bit like Helen from BBUK in that I'm really starting to get the feeling :( I'd honestly rather have any of the others than him, he is the worst Australian hohsemate I have ever seen for sure. It's going to be a horrific final anyway, I think I'll only like Travis/Skye of the realistic options.

Although I don't disagree with the Ryan Hate-On, I've seen enough in the last 2 weeks to give him some support. Splitting up the couples is Top 6 Worthy alone* (as long as he is not taking a spot away from Priya or Skye).

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot, but the only moment I really had any distaste for Ryan was when he was talking down to Skye. The rest of the time that he has been shown he's almost been a little bitchy, which I do like. Alas, we can't forget the horrible mis-managment of Big Brother's editing crew this year for perhaps not giving him the lime light he deserved. But who's to say really.

 

In my opinion, I've seen worst housemates than Ryan.. A few examples would be Zoe (BB9), Joel (BB7), Hotdogs (BB5) and Merlin (BB4). None of these people in my eyes had any redeeming qualities and I way praying for these people to leave.

 

* I don't want to forget a few of the already evicted housemates, Katie and Lisa deserved to at least out last him, but didn't.

I've only seen Bb7, BB9 and obviously 10 and 11 :P I can't even remember Zoe? :lol: was she the big-ish girl who came like 5th because she was never really up for eviction, and she had a thing for George? Yeah she was hella boring and made me cringe a bit if I'm thinking of the right girl! I also couldn't stand the Mormon from BB7 (Kate or something?) off the top of my head but that was really one of those irrational annoyances.

 

But idk Ryan just really rubs me up the wrong way :/ He's got such a punchable face and I just find it really hard to like him even a bit personally. Like you say though it may just be the editing, with so litle that we see it may be the case that he only makes a couple of bitchy comments a day or a week but that's all we see so he comes across that way. But from what we see, which is really all I can judge on, I just can't stand him.

I mean I guess it could be anyone out of Leo, Aisha, Lawson, Cat and Priya, but Leo and cat both got higher than Priya last time and I don't think they've been shown in a particularly different light since then so I can't see why Priya would leapfrog them both... :( I guess all we can hope is that Priya's fans really woke up and voted in their droves.

I screamed omfg, I haven't been so happy at anything all series :D I was so sure she'd be gone, so for her to be top 4 even is amazing! I'm so shocked but so happy. David and Ryan are horrific though, I have a horrible feeling one of them are going to win :( it'll be definitely be out of them and Skye, I think maybe Lina would have challenged if she was an original housemate - I love her!
