Based on how strong The Traitors UK has been, decided to give the Australian season a go, and shockingly I think it’s f***ing terrible

I’m switching off just based on the lack of diversity casting. On top of that you choose 4 WHITE Traitors and any other diverse candidate is promptly voted out. No no. This is a joke, right?!

The only iconic thing was Chloe actually having 2/4 with her “psychic” abilities but just walking out of that elimination.

Here’s hoping the US Version is good, because this is an amazing franchise!

I decided to finish watching, despite a disappointing start it had a very solid last few episodes. The Final was incredible and kudos to the winner!

That’s great news, lots more news coming with a lot of upfronts the last few weeks.

Probably the most jarring is Big Brother Australia, they’ve dropped the “House Of Love” concept, but exclusively cast singles. The season was filmed at the end of last year, but won’t air until October, almost a full year after it was filmed.

I watched the Traitors and did enjoy it - it was good that the tasks etc were different to the UK one.

The winner was great too. The editing was a bit bizarre in places though - there was 1 bloke (Paul) who got incredibly far but seemed to be edited out... It was almost like it was deliberate at times :D It didn't look like he would've added much, but just seemed odd that even at the roundtable he was barely featured.

Said the same thing watching at home re Paul. He hardly featured at all, looked like he would’ve added a fair bit too.

I wasnt sure if there was some sort of scandal which meant they felt they had to edit him out - I even tried doing a Google search. Maybe he just wasn’t favoured by the editors :D but was very odd.

The bloke who was runner-up had a similar edit in the first few episodes too.

Maybe they just didn’t like the older man

Gogglebox Australia is back next week. A great breath of fresh air the AU franchise brings.

Unfortunately Emmie Silbery has been diagnosed with dementia and won’t be returning.

Shocking news about Jock dying! So young as well only 46 and with a young family too…

This next series of MasterChef Australia is going to be sad. Not airing this week either

Awful news, can't believe it. Thats really no age. The trio were really magnificent together as well, he is going to be missed

I -

I have no words. I’m absolutely floored. Thoughts and prayers with the family.

It makes sense to postpone Episode 1. They must be nearing the end of filming, top 10-15 maybe?

Devastating news really.

Masterchef started tonight, but The Project also had a special on Jock.

Quite emotional really, especially the bit with Andy.

Masterchef has been at the cornerstone of my TV watching from the beginning, Season 1. Masterchef Australia is in my top 5 RTV shows of all time, so I'm still so saddened with Jock's passing.

It’s very nice to have Masterchef back, however, I did notice they’ve canned the Katy Perry “Hot n Cold” intro. UNACCEPTABLE.

Also, another change to Immunity.. so you get Immunity if you win.. and MAYBE a pin if you beat the chef?

They should have just kept it as it was last season. Best cook, safe. Sunday Elimination. Now we’re just watching people cook (again) to MAYBE win the pin. Might drop the Wednesday episodes.

The next season of Masterchef is already in pre-production, filming starts in August.

A few things with The Traitors Australia is popping up. Filming just wrapped. It sounds like they’re leaning in a direction of Pseudo-Celebs and Reality Stars with Normal Folk. A few names coming to the table are:

Luke Toki

Hannah Ferrier

Ash Pollard

Whoever did the male casting this season of Masterchef deserves a raise.

Antonio, Brett, Declan, Robbie & Theo. All exceptional. I’m rooting for Declan at this point.

This season of Masterchef Australia is really hitting for me. The show definitely got me thru the Pandemic and I feel the same attachment with this season as I’m going thru a difficult time. I can’t believe we are almost at Final 10, this season has been a breeze, but also really enjoyable. This is definitely the best rookie season they’ve had in this era of Masterchef (Season 12+) although we have really only had one true rookie season. This is definitely hitting better than Fans vs Favs.

With that last elimination I really do like a lot of the remaining contestants. I do however think the show is leaning in a Cath winner direction. How I’m feeling:

Best RTV Contestant On TV at the Moment: Declan

Love: Adi, Antonio, Brent, Grace, Rhiannon, Rue, Theo

Like: Malissa, Ralph

Next To Go Please: Cath

Such a strong group of contestants left. DECLAN TO WIN.
