Faye pregnancy - it wouldn't just be incest (although Brookside tackled it - it was between two adult brother and sister - even though they may or may not have been younger when the sexual relationship began) this would be rape of a minor

and I really don't see Corrie - or any soap for that matter taking that one on - not now (although it was alluded to / referenced in EE with Kat and her uncle).

Agreed with the Sally comments. She's absolutely hilarious + TV gold :rofl:

Sally is a real love-to-hate character for me. If I knew her in real life, she'd irritate me to no end, but as a TV character she's quite funny :lol: Her and Tim are as bad as each other really

The thing I love about Sally is that everyone knows a snobby mother like her, she's hilarious :lol:

Sally is flawless.

Pairing Sally and Tim together in a relationship was a genius move from the storywriters, I find them so funny! :lol:

I can't remember what it was, but Tim referencing some kind of microwaveable food he'd previous had and then put out for the trash, only for Sally to act totally mortified and question what they'd do if the neighbours saw it immediately springs to mind as something which made me :rofl:

In fairness I think its one third that are crap and two thirds that make the show worthwhile. Apart from that fraction though - I want to brutally murder that third!!!!!!

 

The 'actress' (and I use the term very, very loosely) who plays Tina's mum must surely be eligible for the TV equivalent of a Raspberry Award. I've honestly never seen an actress act this badly! You'd think she'd just lost a 20p piece down a gutter the way she's acting - rather than lost a daughter!

For me though - it just looks like she's spent her last few quid on a pack of Nytol and waited for someone to buy her a wine and soda to wash it back with. Did no-one audition this woman? Or is she just related to one of the production staff? She just can't act!!!!!

 

Is nepotism just as rife in TV land as it is in Local Government?

YES! What absolutely horrendous casting :lol:

She is an awful actress, a very low caliber of auditionees must have went for the role as there is no way she is fit for the job. There are some great actors and actresses on the show that make me tune in but there is a few bad ones too. Every soap has a few of each but in my opinion the baddest of the bad managed to steal a job or blackmail someone with powers at Coronation Street, Tina's Mum, Dev, Sophie, Faye, Maria, all spring to mind.

 

 

Dev's an awful actor but that's why I like the character - he's just so laughably bad :lol:
