Simon Gregson has come down with a mystery illness so steve is being written out for a while... He's not expected on set "any time soon". Not great timing given the depression thing coming up, but I hope he's better soon :(

There were plans for a New Year disaster story which Steve is responsible for - was meant to be filmed at Christmas so this plan will probably be postponed if the actor doesn't recover soon.

I've found her return VERY underwhelming. I knew they were toning her character down a little, I could even see why to some extent, but she's a totally different character! Just one of the many negatives Stuart Blackburn has done to the show.

As much as I think Stuart Blackburn has destroyed the program, I think toning her down was the right thing to do with this one though.

 

However, Toby :heart: imagine if she didn't keep Fizz :kink: the Street would be so much better.

I don't get the Fizz hate on here, she's one of my faves :(

To be honest - I couldn't see the point of a Cilla return (even despite the fact that I do like Wendy Peters) as Beth had more or less filled the void that the character left - although Beth's character is a bit more palatable than Cilla. Having said that - I do like the scenes with Cilla and Craig - and more tellingly what its brought out in Chesney.

 

Cannot forgive Cilla though for having the awful Fiz as a daughter!

Fizz is the absolute WORST. Jesus.

 

Cilla being toned a bit is something I wanted/expected, but they've totally dampened pretty much everything that made her good in the first place :(

fiz is horrendous. so annoying, it's not just her voice either, it's how she has to pass judgement on everything that doesn't concern her when no one gives a shit. her and tyrone are made for each other in the sense that they're both awful and need to go.

She says she couldn't trust any man who cheats. How did she get with Tyrone again?
