I'm not sure there's even going to be a physical release though - and if not, that'll hurt sales by several thousand at least...

There is a physical CD on her website.

Really like this! I think it'll go top 5 and wouldn't be surprised if it managed to get to #1! :)
I think it'll go low top 10 but have a poor chart run, could get 3 weeks top 40 if its lucky.

Hopefully Top 5 with such a tune.

I think it's incredible how radio can snub a certain act due to his/her age. It seems unfair, after all, if the music is great like in this case, why not play the songs on the radio?

Well Capital seem to LOVE it! And if Candy could get snubbed by radio 1 and still go number one, Kylie can certainly do the same. Nevertheless, it does have some competition

I think this may be expected;

1.Into The Blue

2. Tsunami (was number one in my predictions but Into The Blue has surpassed it radio play wise)

3. Nasty/Happy

4. Happy/Nasty

5. Money On my Mind

^ there is no way Nasty and Into the Blue will go that high. 'Tsunami' has a bigger chance of going to #1 imo - the song has been massive for the last 6 months across Europe and in dance music charts
People really need to start looking at this release with a bit more realism. I know it's Kylie and it's a fabulous song but the pre-orders are absolutely atrocious, this will be lucky to match 'Work Bitch' at this rate. Airplay is not something to take into account when predicting how a release will do, trust the pre-orders.

Does the album track version that you get for free for pre-ordering Kiss Me Once count as a sale towards the Singles chart? I believe you can get the track a week earlier than the rest of the album?

I'm also sure that she will promote the hell out of it the week of release like she always does with her first single from an upcoming album.

This song deserves to be huge but as long as it helps sell KMO I'm not too bothered about it getting to number 1

I don't know cause I remember 30 days by the saturdays doing really well on pre-orders and ending up #1 on album charts during release week, look how well that faired. Then look at disco love which fell out of top 1500 for 3/6 weeks run up to the release, that got top 5. So I don't really want to base anything on pre orders as of yet :) I guess we'll just have to see on release week

I see I'm a freak doing a slow build so a debut at #6 and either a long chart run or a repeak

bit scared with pre-orders .... but it has been out for 7 weeks on pre-orders and did go top 250 for a number of days..... but also she sold 1,500 vinyl already and the CD single is there and this is now on Amazon. Her own website should sell a lot so lets see

you need 9,000 sales to get top 40 this week!!! that's a lot and over 25,000 for a top 10............. she needs a TV promo slot just before the release........... the radio is number 17 so that's good airplay and only just gone bbc radio 2 playlisted.....

really hope it can climb iTunes on the Sunday of release and people who update there iTunes weekly etc will just add her song to their downloads........

but who pre-orders a single??

I think it should just about get top 20 but hope I am wrong and people surprise us and download

plus surely if Timebomb can climb up to 6 on iTunes straight from a release on a Friday and get to 31 after 2 days of sales with no radio play/promo then Into The Blue is capable of doing at least similar and over 6-7 days can do OK.

I don't trust pre-orders where older artists are concerned, as physical sales are a significant factor for them.

Everybody who thinks Kylie could be #1 is either delusional or a huge fan or both.

Not necessarily, it's just a different view to you

physical sales for Into The Blue will not be that high... a single CD is 4.99 + 2.99 p&p that's a silly price.. ... even if she sold 2-3k of physicals, you need around 10k just to get in the top 40!!!!!!

but I think we do have to look at kylie.com closely both for single and album.... many varients on there and people will buy from there rather than iTunes... so she could have sold a few thousand...

its up from 610 to 472 on iTunes today , needs to climb in the next week and half and be visable for people from 9th March and then often she could pick up sales from people just updating their iTunes with the lastest top 50 etc...

I am sure she will do promo but the timing has to be right.... a slot on Jonathan Ross on the 8th March would go down very well!!!!! :)

She's already number #4 on the singles chart on Amazon through physicals alone (#1,000 most bought ''album'' overall)

I'm lowering my expectation to #4 now with sales of 50k. "Tsunami" will be #1.

Haven't heard it, but since it involves Tinie, I think it's safe to say I wouldn't want to... ;)
