January 22, 201412 yr Good to see the song about rubbing yourself down below from Miley in the midweek Top40. As far as I was aware the song itself isn't actually about that, unless she is talking about her fingers. The song is perfect for radio (as her last 2 singles were too) but it is funny seeing it on TV, the whole 1 minute of the video they actually show (on 4music at least). The video works so much better for me as just a short piece with her looking pretty in bed and staring into mid air while in the bath.
January 23, 201412 yr I'm so impressed with how well Sophie's album has done, I never thought she'd see those heights in either chart again :o SCD massively raised her profile!
January 23, 201412 yr I too am really pleased, but it's probably barely going to outsell Make A Scene's first week. I think it could keep its #4 though (depending on if Blunty and Avicii leapfrog her from #7 and #8) which is actually hugely impressive, and if has a semi respectable chart run I'll also be majorly impressed.
January 24, 201412 yr Why? The #1 will comfortably clear 15k. So Britney Jean could have been Top 5 if Britney had released this week? :P
January 24, 201412 yr So Britney Jean could have been Top 5 if Britney had released this week? :P I don't understand how people always randomly translate sales from one week to another assuming it would sell the exact same amount. Britney would have sold even less in January than she did in the last quarter of the year. That's why it often makes more sense to compare positions and chart runs over sales.

January 24, 201412 yr If we're to believe the sales total for The Vamps in that post, it appears they've decreased in sales since the Wednesday update :P!

January 24, 201412 yr Surprised to see The Vamps still holding! Sophie should keep her #4 position then. Brilliant! :D
January 24, 201412 yr Looks like we're going to have a new track taking the title of fastest selling track of 2014!! Hopefully 160/170k by Sunday!! Hoping the Vamps fall behind Pharrell by Sunday and Vance Joy will just scrape into the top 10, at either 9 or 10.

January 24, 201412 yr Did someone say that Clean Bandit are on course to have the biggest first week sales for a January release since 1996? I'm assuming that's Babylon Zoo. How many do they have to sell to have that record (Biggest since 1996 I mean - obv they can't beat Babylon Zoo's total). Thanks!
