I knew you'd be happy about that. I was shocked by that inclusion as well, considering You're Still the One, That Don't Impress Me Much or Man! I Feel Like a Woman were on NOWs '97 or '99

No Katy on 2008 :(

Yay at Sats getting a double appearance on 2009 :)

That shocked me! Katy's signed to Virgin (a universal group), I was hoping to see Hot n Cold or Waking Up In Vegas perhaps, but no :(

The early NOW 00's albums are superb, then they kinda get duller as the years go by, probably because the Numbered NOWs covered the later 00's pretty well.

Not much of note on Now 2004 onwards save for a few extra Westlife appearances, Stickwitu by PCD, Shayne Ward's If That's Ok With U and a couple of other randoms. I guess it shows the effect that the Hits series dying off had with Now able to get the extra licenses!

2005 has Do Somethin' and Get Right, two songs that NEEDED to be on NOW 60! Gad damn "HITS" series. Also... why is Gwen Stefani on 2 NOWs only once. What You Waiting For, Rich Girl and Wind It Up should've been on there!

I think 2004 onwards is a bit disappointing to me really, NOW 2004 doesn't even have "Everytime" on it :(

I MAY invest in 2000/2002/2003 at some point, they seem like the best of the 00s bunch.

The highlight of the series in terms of a balanced and brilliant tracklist is 1996, while 1998 holds the most nostalgic value for me. 1999 is a bit of a wasted opportunity, an amazing year which completely isn't reflected in the tracklist.

the tracklists for 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2009 are absolutely amazing. 2006 in particular which I bought immediately. I'm debating buying one or two of the others bar 2009, as I already have loads of songs on that album as it's around the time I bought my first ipod.

2000 isn't as good as I'd hoped it to be though :( although I suppose that's a good thing, stopping me from making myself bankrupt haha.

I've decided to buy one each week. Which sadly means I'll be paying £7.99 after this week, oh well.

The early 00s lists are quite good. The 2003 one is most tempting.

A few missed opportunities though as I feel these songs could have been included.

Maroon 5-This Love

Dido-Here With Me

Anastacia-Sick & Tired

Pink-Stupid Girls

Rather than using the same old songs for these artists.

I've given in and since I have not much music on my iPad, I've started off with Now 1998 and Now 2003!
The lack of Kylie on the 00's is so out of place. Especially since she was huge from 2000-2006
I would buy these if I hadn't already won 14 US NOW's in a contest a year back

Label issues though, isn't it? At least she was well represented in the main series where Dido, Delta, Christina and others have been criminally underrepresented for the same reasons.

I do think Now could have opted for some more variety in these (four tracks by one artist on an album is overkill) but I couldn't help but download the ones I have and I may get more in the future. Now 2000 keeps STARING at me....

I have some issues with these series, I don't know, they seem half-arsed at best.

It's like they've thrown songs from each year in no particular order in some cases, and having these constant double-triple and even quadruple appearences on one album seems a bit too tacky for me.

Being a Now fan for over 20 years, it is impossible for me not to pay attention at which song is CD1-Track 1 and the specific order of the songs on each disc.

Sadly Kylie's 2000-2014 catalogue is now part of the Warner Music label and Warner decided not to take part in this series of spin-offs which is a major shame 'cos Kylie (and one or two other Warner artists) NEEDED to be on some of these "Believe" by Cher on '98, "Low" by Flo Rida on '08 and Can't Get You out Of My Head for '01.

Got my copy of NOW Chilled today and it's very good, all of it flows perfectly. My only issue is the dodgy radio edit of "She Will Be Loved" and the Xtina-less version of Say Something. Other than that, perfect.

Warner not being there also means we couldn't catch up on classics from the Corrs that never featured. Breathless, Runaway, So Young and Summer Sunshine all deserved to appear at some point.

Sore misses indeed for The Corrs :(

Imagine how good the likes of Now 54 could have been if they'd had access to all of the record labels back then. My 'fantasy' tracklist:

Disc 1

1. t.A.T.u - All The Things She Said

2. Christina Aguilera - Beautiful

3. Nelly feat Kelly Rowland - Dilemma

4. Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You

5. Girls Aloud - Sound Of The Underground

6. Busted - Year 3000

7. Avril Lavigne - Complicated

8. Mis-Teeq - Scandalous

9. Jennifer Lopez - Jenny From The Block

10. Kelly Rowland - Stole

11. Jay-Z feat Beyonce - 03 Bonnie & Clyde

12. Room 5 feat Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv

13. Junior Senior - Move Your Feet

14. Richard X vs. Liberty X - Being Nobody

15. Love Inc - You're A Superstar

16. Dannii Minogue - I Begin To Wonder

17. Jurgen Vries feat CMC - The Opera Song (Brave New World)

18. DJ Sammy - The Boys Of Summer

19. Divine Inspiration - The Way (Put Your Hand In My Hand)

20. Jaimeson feat Angel Blu - True

21. Panjabi MC - Mundian To Bach Ke

22. Gareth Gates feat The Kumars - Spirit In The Sky

23. Cheeky Girls : The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)

Disc 2

1. Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One

2. Blue feat Elton John - Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word

3. Robbie Williams - Feel

4. Coldplay - Clocks

5. Oasis - Songbird

6. David Sneddon - Stop Living The Lie

7. Will Young - You & I

8. Delta Goodrem - Born To Try

9. Pink - Family Portrait

10. Sinead Quinn - I Can't Break Down

11. Appleton - Don't Worry

12. Atomic Kitten - Love Doesn't Have To Hurt

13. Kym Marsh - Cry

14. Sugababes - Stronger

15. S Club - Alive

16. Nelly feat Justin Timberlake - Work It

17. Sean Paul - Gimme The Light

18. Missy Elliot - Work It

19. Cam'Ron - Hey Ma

20. Ainslie Henderson - Keep Me A Secret

21. Ronan Keating & Lulu - We've Got Tonight

22. One True Voice - Sacred Trust

I'm not going to lie, I often think how the previous Nows would look had they had access to all the tracks they do now. The 2002 and 2003 eras would be much improved.

Here's what my version of NOW 54 looked like. I made it using the official chart archive, basing it on what songs got released in between NOW 53 & 54. I've done that for each NOW from NOW 44 - 63.

18: DJ Sammy - Boys of Summer

19: Cheeky Girls - Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)

20: Gareth Gates - Spirit In the Sky

Disc 2:

01: Eminem - Lose Yourself

Did Mis-Teeq switch record labels (seeing as they were on Now 49 and Now 50), or did Now just manage to get hold of more contracts in 2001? I know Now 50 had the likes of Westlife, Five and J.Lo which was rare.
