This is Kylie's first single in nearly two years after "Timebomb" in June 2012. Her 12th studio album Kiss Me Once will be due for release on March 24th and I certainly feel that this is by far my favourite return single by any act this year already including the long awaited return of West Yorkshire band Embrace with "Refugees" which slides a place to 3 just below the brand new UK no.1 single from Clean Bandit. "Rather Be" plays on lots of orchestral music mixed in with the usual dance music. It's a flawless track that continues to get me in the mood to have fun everytime I hear it. No.4 comes from London born Singer-Songwriter Katy B with "Crying For No Reason", the track is the first of Katy's to make my personal chart. As I've said before I never specifically cared for her until this. Proving that perhaps an artist you strongly dislike/don't care for can do wonders if this song is just right :P Completing the top 5 we have Scandinavian electropop trio NONONO with their super catchy "Pumpin Blood" which rises 6 places from last weeks #11. The song also features on an Samsung Galaxy advert currently. Elsewhere in the top 40, last weeks no.1 from Pitbull and Kesha slips all the way down to no.6 after a month at the top spot. Alternative RNB Trip Hop artist Raleigh Ritchie better known by his birth name Jacob Anderson sprints up an impressive 18 places with the slick "Bloodsport", no.8 on this weeks chart. New entries at no.s 33 & 37 come from Sophie Ellis-Bextor with "Young Blood" & The Saturdays, "Not Giving Up".
