Dark Horse yasss! She needs to drop the video soon though

It's projected sales for next week are over 400k!

I knew she'd do it, didn't know it'd be that soon though!

It's nowhere near her best, but I take my hat off to her.

Edited by Silver Rocket

Hooray! Hopefully 'Dark Horse' can get #1 in the UK as well. Definitely her 2nd best song (after 'E.T.')

Katy's single peaks in the USA: 1-3-29-9-1-1-1-1-1-3-1-2-1-14-1-

Whoops at 'Unconditionally' sticking out like a sore thumb (and 'Thinking Of You' I guess but that was before she was properly established).

When was the last time a song without a chorus made it to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100?
When was the last time a song without a chorus made it to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100?

Harlem Shake? :)

But seriously I think Dark Horse has a chorus ("if you want to play with magic..."), it's just the chorus doesn't have the hook.

So happy about this, incredible how it only needed a slight push to set it off - we haven't even got a video yet and was climbing quickly within days of it's announcement as a single. Perry's back on form
Apparently there's a super hyped TV ad appearing this weekend during the Super Bowl that prominently features Let Her Go. I could see that getting them to #1 by March.
Dark Horse going to #1 is great to see, it's up there with her best! Hopefully Pharrell can be the next Billboard #1, I can see Dark Horse staying there for a few weeks.

So ur so gay isn't consider as her first single?

So ur so gay isn't consider as her first single?

Promo single.

Jason derulo is deffo the next person to top the billboard hot 100 i reckon unless Pharrell gets there before him.
What is the exact rule in relation to YouTube streaming? Is there a certain length videos need to be to count or will this video of Taylor Swift performing "All Too Well" at the Grammys count towards where it charts next week? B-)

I think it just needs to use part of the audio track, I'm not sure a live performance counts?

I think "Dope" debuted at #8 last year based on a live performance/video (YouTube Music Awards) but I don't know what the other circumstances were surrounding that.
