Posted February 6, 201411 yr I know I'm probably on my own here but I just love this series, its like an obsession I've seen every episode since the pilot episode back in 1997!! You ask me a question about the show or any episode and ill have the answer in seconds  The 100th episode is coming up and I cannot wait its a collaboration with the Danish company responsible for The Killing which was well received in the UK so I'm expecting big things! Any other Midsomer fans out there???

February 7, 201411 yr Here it is: Based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Wednesday 12th Feb. 8pm ITV1. 100th episode of the rural detective drama series. DCI John Barnaby and DS Charlie Nelson head off across the North Sea when the body of Midsomer resident Eric Calder is discovered in Copenhagen. The boss of Calder's Biscuit Factory has been murdered in the Danish capital, and Barnaby and Nelson join forces with two local female detectives - the abrasive but astute Birgitte Poulsen and the cool yet charming Anna Degn - in the hunt for the killer. In the course of the investigation they discover that Eric had more links to Copenhagen than just his famous golden clusters. With Neil Dudgeon, Gwilym Lee, Fiona Dolman, Tamzin Malleson, and Ann Eleonora Jorgensen. Edited February 7, 201411 yr by Common Sense

February 7, 201411 yr I'm a fan I just love how bad it is sometimes. Yeah there's always two or three more murders before they solve it. Some are better than others.
February 7, 201411 yr Yeah there's always two or three more murders before they solve it. Some are better than others. You also can't be murdered in Midsomer unless it's done in a needlessly extravagant way.

Any other Midsomer fans out there??? You're not alone! I still love the show. I wasn't so keen on the most recent episode (the flying school one) but the week before it was right up there with the best of the John Nettles ones. I do love Neil Dudgeon and I think the new sidekick - Nelson - is brilliant! He seems to be a bit more 'with it' than previous side-kicks - and I like the relationship between him and the pathologist. And Sykes is just brilliant!
February 10, 201411 yr I love Midsomer Murders as well, sort of stopped watching with the new Barnaby, but judging from Kath posts, It might just be worth it to have another go at the new episodes. As a Dane, I'll obviously have to at least watch the 100th episode. You lot have favourite episodes? I quite like the Judgement Day episode with Orlando Bloom (not because of him), it's delightfully gory.
February 10, 201411 yr You lot have favourite episodes? I quite like the Judgement Day episode with Orlando Bloom (not because of him), it's delightfully gory. I'm sure I'm not alone in favouring the episodes with the weirdest murders. Two of them involved wine! One where the guy is pinned out onto his lawn with croquet hooks and has bottles of his favourite vintages fired at him and one where a TV set is jigged up to a sort of diver's outfit and a guy is 'drowned' in it (these murders may both actually be from the same episode). Mind you - the one the week before last was particularly gruesome - involving a guy being eaten alive by a wild boar!

Though John Nettles was absolutely hilarious. Thank goodness Jones is gone though. And that Cully doesn't pop up every episode for forced reasons.
February 12, 201411 yr Author So, that was the 100th episode!! I was completely hooked from start to end and I loved the way it built up and I worked out who the murderer was just before the reveal. I love the Barnaby family dynamic and it was just a fantastic story with the perfect balance between the case and the other parts of the story! Looking forward to the new series now...
