This. Although I think it's a song that projects itself best in the summer

Maybe its just not that popular out there?

38. Lorde - Royals

No way did she look 17 on the Brits - Kylie had fewer lines on her face than Lorde...

For all the people that said Happy would beat Sam smith to number 1 from the brit effect, i have one thing to say.

Told you so :P

I think Beyonce should have done a medley of both Drunk In Love even if she just sang a bit of Drunk in Love and XO I'm sure it would have gone back in the top 10 .

Fewer lines but surely more surgery :cheer:

XO is brilliant, even better than Drunk In Love for me. I have no idea why, despite sounding more commercial and having big performances (as well as being sent to radio first), XO is struggling to go top 10 :(

Well, she does have two singles at the same time and album that's so far her best selling and most consistent chart run wise.

14. Pompeii / Waiting All Night (Live from the BRITs) [feat. Ella Eyre] - Bastille & Rudimental

41. Royals / White Noise (Live from the BRITs) [feat. AlunaGeorge] - Disclosure & Lorde

85. R U Mine? (Live from the BRITs) - Arctic Monkeys

95. Burn (Live from the BRITs) - Ellie Goulding

I really didn't think the Bastimental performance was anything special, it was literally just 'Pompeii' followed by 'Waiting All Night' and then a tiny bit at the end where they were mashed up a little bit. At least 'Royals / White Noise' was a proper mashup for half of it before turning into a standard 'White Noise' performance. Looks like I'm in a minority though as 'Pompeii / Waiting All Night' looks like it's headed for the iTunes top 10 and at least top 40 officially (I guess the public just can't get enough of 'Pompeii', the original track is at #25, #64, #88 and #96 ) Really hope Disclosure/Lorde can get at least top 100 officially, they are a lot higher now than the last time I checked. Best BRITs perf since 'You Got The Dirtee Love' in my highly biased opinion.

In other news the single version of 'Happy' has been deleted so for the second time he's gonna need to climb back into the top 2 again (this time with the version from his album pre-order). Mess.

Also loving that 'Do I Wanna Know?' is nearly back in the top 20 despite not even being performed! Top 40 re-entry please. (A top 40 re-entry for 'R U Mine?' as well would also be great, the studio version is at #44 in addition to the live version at #85, but that's probably less likely to happen).

 #4 Katy Perry - Dark Horse

Who would ever have predicted months ago that this song would be so huge? It's done incredibly well for a third single.

:left: #11 Beyonce - XO

COME ONNNN. So nearly there. But even if it does go top 10 on iTunes I doubt it'll ever go Top 10 officially!

^ It's now #13. But yeah, I don't think it'll go top 10.

So Katy's releasing the 'Dark Horse' video just after her BRITs performance and at a time when the song is in danger of losing its iTunes #1 status in the U.S, having just clinched its fourth week atop the Hot 100? Her (label's) timing is second to none.

Lady GaGa could learn a lot.

I loved XO at first and gave no time to Drunk in Love, but now ... I think I prefer Drunk in Love. However, XO needs to be top 10 y'all.

Drunk in Love is a summer song as well though.

Glad to see Drunk in Love top 10 for a 3rd(?) time now. But Bastille and Rudimental will probably knock it back out soon.

nearly everyone on Buzzjack  It really was obvious that this would smash, ever since it got to #21 in the official charts just from being a promo single.

I thought it was an obvious hit as well. It got to #1 on US iTunes like 6 weeks ago lol.

I predicted no.1, come on, Katy! Get that no-longer-a-modern-phenomena of the video effect!

Hate Bastille. So generic. I used to think Radioactive was by them and everything else was a massive quality dive, then realised it's by a different band...
I don't know why the medleys are doing anything, they were essentially two songs placed next to each other, like a DJ set. To even consider them the same track is ludicrous.
Fewer lines but surely more surgery :cheer:

But not all of it was elective.
