Its pre-orders so far are doing the exact same as Disco Love's. The EP and the single mix pre-orders are splitting sales so neither appear that high (or even at all).

Not Giving Up is basically going to flop? :)

I see, I hope you're right - I don't remember what Disco Love was doing at this point. Did they pick up when Radio 1 finally playlisted them? Also, do you know what airplay was like at this point? Because at the moment Capital are refusing to play them in the day?

Guys, just chill out please. It's not the end of the world if they flop, they've bounced back from flops before! Plus, if it does flop the management/label only have themselves to blame. Who in their right mind sits on an amazing song like this until 5th single, but releases the lacklustre "30 Days" as first single and the trashing "Gentleman" as 3rd single.

Fair enough, they hadn't recorded these songs when "30 Days" was released. But that song didn't add anything other than another top 10 yet poorly selling single. They need to have more faith in proper post-album singles and STOP sitting on the best songs for post-album songs. I'd much rather have had "Higher", "Ego" and "Not Giving Up" to be released pre-album and go to #1 and sell 400k+ and then have the following singles flop, than have a what actually happened.

I think Capital will play them more and more over the coming weeks. And yes, it picked up after R1 playlisted them I think. I'm sure it'll get playlisted tomorrow! I hope so anyway.

Completely agree with this.

Though, the reason it is worrying is because there are only so many flops a band can take before they're completely dropped and forgotten. Also, besides that this single does DESERVE to be huge, it's such a great dance-pop song - and there's no reason it shouldn't fit in with today's market of singles.

Plus if this single doesn't do well, it's a death to this era and death to the album, it needs to do well to help the album!

The album's already dead tho? I highly doubt Not Giving Up is going to give the album alot more sales

I was going to add that - I was hoping, if it were a minor hit, it might give people more of an incentive to buy the album and was hoping it could shift another 10 - 15 - 30k

There's no way they'd have another single from this album (unless NGU sold 600k+ and went #1, which is highly unlikely). They'll move onto the Greatest Hits era I suppose with the lead single/album in late Summer a la Headlines.

Not a lot more, but it would be nice to see it back in the official chart, it could do for LFTW that Ego done for Wordshaker and what Faster or Get Ready, Get Set would have done for OYR haha! But I doubt it will improve that much... here's to hoping.

They would be very very lucky to see the album going anywhere near the top 200

I love 30 days but I completely agree - should have been released after Not Giving Up! Then again would pregnancies hindered videos or what not, who knows!

They could've bulk filmed the videos while in America, and then they also probably would've been paid for by E! and had more material for Chasing The Saturdays.

Retrospectively that makes perfect sense! Such a shame they aren't renewing the series :(

I doubt iggy will be I front of them as her pre orders do as well as 'Human' by Christina Perri, but she never speaks very well. I think we should hold on a bit. I remember I'm a freak being added only 3 weeks before and only had 23 plays in it's first week of playlist, it got to 40 the next but then shot up a week before release.

733. Disco Love

1026. Living For The Weekend (Deluxe)

1075. Not Giving Up EP
