February 22, 201411 yr I don't know why everyone assumes it's a rushed release just because it was announced close to the release date, maybe he just didn't want his fans to have to be 'in suspense' for very long a la Radiohead / David Bowie? I'm really surprised that 'Happy' gets so much hate on here, I can fully understand why people might find it boring especially with the overplay but it just doesn't seem like a HATE sort of song. I still really like it. Hope the album can deliver ~ JT collab could be fabulous if done right. He's not the type of artist to do that though. Bowie and Radiohead, and even Beyonce just aren't limited to the norms that most artists are. I'm not even sure he has that big a fanbase anyway. He's always been known for his NERD stuff, and production work, but not much as a solo artist. It just seems natural that he's been working on a solo album for some time, but he's released it now because there's a demand for more material, and it coincides with Happy still doing well across the globe.
February 24, 201411 yr I'm pretty sure he has worked on this album for quite a long time (most of 2013 probably). Especially considering how huge last year was for him, it's not like he got successfull last week. I am gutted Miley got anywhere near this project, the girl was entertaining for a minute but I'm not sure anyone still care about her in 2014, even when she masturbates in a video. Looking forward to his songs with Alicia and Daft Punk though. :cheer: Edited February 24, 201411 yr by Hayzayy
February 24, 201411 yr Miley isn't actually featured on Come Get It Babe, apparently she's just backing vocals :(

February 24, 201411 yr That isn't surprising AT ALL considering the poster! We all forget that PJ and Duncan's Let's Get Ready To Rhumble is apparently one of the best dance songs of 2013.
February 24, 201411 yr I actually really like 'Happy', although I'm probably in the Buzzjack minority for that. Interested to see what else he has on offer this time around, given he has ruled the roost in recent times.
February 25, 201411 yr I'm so glad to hear people don't like "Happy", I find the song lifeless and droll, like his voice, to be honest. To me, he's a great session musician / backing vocalist and producer. He adds nice touches to Britney's "Hooked On", "Why Should I Be Sad" and Adam Lambert's "Kickin' In". February 25, 201411 yr Happy would probably have universal acclaim if it hadn't been over played by radios and constantly used as a selling point for his album. It was fina as a cute despicable me 2 song
February 26, 201411 yr Not so sure about the availability in the UK and such but it's now up on iTunes for streaming purposes.
February 26, 201411 yr If you don't have iTunes, you can stream the whole album here: http://www.audiomack.com/album/your-music-fix/girl
February 26, 201411 yr How is Pharrell still this hawt at 40 yo exactly?! downloading the album and will give it a spin soon <3
February 26, 201411 yr How is Pharrell still this hawt at 40 yo exactly?! I thought I was the only one who thought that :o he hasn't aged at all either from 20 to now it seems!
March 2, 201411 yr Downloaded this just for the Justin & Alicia collabs *.* Actually looking forward to listening to it, despite hating majority of his other stuff...
March 2, 201411 yr 'Gust Of Wind' is surely another big hit for him? So good. A pretty good and consistent record so far. I like it. 'Happy' sits pretty nicely amongst the album, surprisingly!
March 2, 201411 yr Solid album after a few listens (received my physical copy on Friday). Keep finding myself going back to "Brand New" and "Hunter". The Daft Punk produced "Gust Of Wind" would be too safe a choice for single #2, can't wait to see how this album era goes.

Would have been a decent follow up to GL instead of 'Lose Yourself To Dance'.
March 7, 201411 yr Just found out that it's JoJo who's one of the female vocals in the hidden track after "Lost Queen"! :o
March 7, 201411 yr Thought I'd rate each track now they've had a few days to sink in... 08 Marilyn Monroe (Not as good as Nicki Minaj's track of the same name, but still a good track and a good opener) 09 Brand New 08 Hunter 06 Gush (the weakest track for me) 08 Happy 10 Come Get It Bae (quite like the use of Miley's vocals in this) 10 Gust of Wind (Sounds like it would've been a much better follow-up to "Get Lucky") 08 Lost Queen (If it was the hidden track only, another 10/10 moment! "Lost Queen" only is 7/10) 09 Know Who You Are (Alicia Keys pulls this up from an 7 to 9 moment) 09 It Girl (A very strong album closer, for a very strong album)
