March 3, 201411 yr He's showing off. Of course he could do it democratically, but then again the UK could have gotten the Fawklands back through the UN with all likelihood but after its declining world status, Thatcher wanted to reassert the country on a global scale and show its abilities. Hence, Russia, a growing power again, wanting to show its power rather than do things through a referendum. It will also give it more power in the mideast as it will be seen as leading America again with the US powerless to stop it.
March 3, 201411 yr About 50-60% in Crimean population will indeed say that they want to be under control of Russia. I don't get why they want it but oh well. Did I mention that if Crimea moves to Russian umbrella they will have a LOT of problems with food, water, electricity and gas? Crimea doesn't have a terrestrial route straight to Russia, it only has one through Ukraine which is going to be not a loyal country to them. And the main factor of their income - tourism - is practically dead for this summer. Referendum is going to be held at the end of March - we'll see how they are going to vote. And another Eastern Ukranian area claimed that it is going to have a Referendum about their status - Donetsk region. I'm quite certain for now that there won't be any open invading in the forthcoming days, and the probability of a relatively peaceful outcome has risen during the day, thanks to Angela Merkel mostly. Quite a lot of fault of all of this also lies on the current Ukranian government, as they clearly stated that they are going to be pro-Western and one of the first actions they did is cancellation of the law about Regional languages that denies a lot of rights for Russian language. That was silly and too unmature. That added a LOT of oil into the fire of the mood of Eastern Ukrainian people where Russian is the main language or equal to Ukranian.
March 3, 201411 yr Dynamo Kyiv will be laughing if Donetsk votes to become part of Russia, Shakhtar have dominated the league in the past decade. [/wrongforum]
March 3, 201411 yr Dynamo Kyiv will be laughing if Donetsk votes to become part of Russia, Shakhtar have dominated the league in the past decade. [/wrongforum] You know even my first thought was "Oh, Shakhtar wouldn't be in the Ukraine league anymore" when I read the Donetsk part.
March 3, 201411 yr Medvedev already ordered to build a bridge to link Crimea with mainland Russia, so it makes you think even more they are really determined to go all the way.
March 3, 201411 yr what even is this alexrange thing? i don't think Putin will stop just because the western world tells him to do so. i unfortunately agree with Pavel :(
March 3, 201411 yr The EU have already stopped the negotiations about non-visa borders between EU and Russia. :tirren: Now all the Russians will definitely move to Crimea to spend the holidays there! .... OH WAIT :mansoncheer:
March 3, 201411 yr Russophobia is the worse type from all human discriminations. :manson: :manson: :manson: Yeah because you get people being murdered for being Russian ALL THE TIME
March 3, 201411 yr Bitch, how you can compare Putin with Hitler ? Russophobia is the worse type from all human discriminations. It's like comparing granny smiths and pink ladies, both are types of apples... Yeah. Sure. Who needs people of a different creed, nationality, sex or sexuality to discriminate against when we have Russians!
March 3, 201411 yr Bitch, how you can compare Putin with Hitler ? Russophobia is the worse type from all human discriminations. What even? Pavel, what other types of insults do you have in Russian? And when would you use that Europe one?
March 4, 201411 yr Apparently Russia called for Ukraine to back off until midnight yesterday or there will be WAR. But the Kremlin officially deny this. No action has been taken yet though even though the deadline has passed. At least Putin isn't THAT trigger happy! Already so tired of this whose penis is bigger competition that Putin likes to play with everyone. How was he ever loved by people here is a real f***ing mystery. Abhorrent obnoxious dictator who will only go down in history as a bully who destroyed Russia (which he did).
March 4, 201411 yr The Putin ratings are indeed quite funny. According to the latest social review, 69% of people trust Putin, yet only about 46% trust his Government and 39% trust MPs (who are basically also ruled by Putin). How can you trust Putin and not at all trust ALL of his team which he assignes for 14 years now. It's like "Government is shit and we feel sorry for Putin that he has to work with such c**ts". Absolute L. O. L. I'm pretty sure there won't be any war. The military trainings have ended today, and everyone seems more cheered up than on Sunday or on Monday. Our markets and rouble are also going back up too (but didn't reach the Friday's level). I think everything will be fine unless something HUGE happens again. I get it all the Ukranian invasion was a fake since the beginning and Putin did it because he wanted to create a pseudo-compromise. What did he want out of this - we'll see soon.
March 4, 201411 yr Putin right now: there is no need to bring the army to Crimea. He also insisted that bringing army to Ukraine is legit as that is what was asked by President Yanukovich. He doesn't claim the new Ukranian government because impeachment of Yanukovich was illegal and was held not according to a formal procedure.
March 4, 201411 yr Yet they can't provide proof that it was him who asked for the army... And Putin doesn't seem to care that it was none of his beeswax to invade someone's territory even if some agreement (dunno the details; weak spot for me here~) was KIND OF signed when Yanukovich was in charge. He just needs time to select a puppet and fix his victory in the elections. This KILLED me though. Talk about the most pot kettle black situation in the history of the universe Mr Putin said he could understand the anger of ordinary Ukrainians at corruption among their ruling elite, which he said was "at such a level that we didn't even dream of in Russia", but added that it was a "mistake" for them to oust the president in a non-constitutional manner. !!!
March 4, 201411 yr Oh I'm sure no one will care what someone from the middle of nowhere thinks about this hoe. Plus I'm not using Russian so good luck 2 them translating first ~catch me if u can KGB~
March 4, 201411 yr Guys don't make TOO MUCH pressure like everyone is going to be killed right away after saying something bad about Putin. After all, they should repress millions of us if so. If one of the biggest Russian radio stations posts the Putin and Hitler comparisons on their website and probably tells that on air, - and it's still being open - then me and Pavel can live peacefully and say what we want.
