They won't talk about a potential split!

Never know may be like this is our last album, GH and then that's that. Never know what to expect from the girls

Just out of curiosity, what is making people so paranoid about them splitting?

If you watch them in the flips and in interviews, they seem very happy together.

You'll find that they don't care about sales and how much an album sells..

They want to ride this wave for as long as they can.. And there aren't any real signs of them stopping.

Fair enough airplay's not amazing for this single, but it's not something they've relied on heavily in the past.

Because we're fans we get a little too involved on what the figures look like and compare them to others.

The general public don't know how much Gentleman sold.. or Disco Love.. or their album?!

As long as they make back what they cost and they clearly must do.. Then why would they stop?

They all have their own lives as well as be a member of The Saturdays.

It's not like they've suddenly started to drift apart or have time away from each other.. That's what they've always done!

I want to MARRY this post.

I got an email today saying my single has been dispatched! 17th CD single, where has the time gone?

You tell them, Scherzy.

And as usual, Scherz beings us back to reality as the voice of reason
I'm thinking/hoping they learned a lot from this era and I have a feeling they'll get it right next era, whether it's a GH (which I doubt despite what everyone else here thinks) or a normal release. The extended baby breaks and gaps between singles are what really killed this album.

It's not about them splitting up due to not enjoying their job any more. It's more to do with the fact they're becoming dangerously irrelevant (once Radio 1 and Capital start to ignore you then you're f***ed) and just aren't shifting albums OR singles these days. My Heart Takes Over, 30 Days and Gentleman were massive flop singles and On Your Radar/Living For The Weekend were massive flop albums. America flopped. Disco Love was a minor hit and What About Us was their only big hit in over a year (if you count their last one before that as All Fired Up, which wasn't that massive). Radio aren't touching them, their TV rotation is poor, they're being upstaged by Little Mix and there's alot of hype for Neon Jungle, they have three kids, they've been around for seven years and they all have solo interests (whether it be presenting, modelling, reality shows or writing). They're not at the beginning of their careers any more, they're now at a stage in their career where they *could* end with any album. They've got their top ten singles, their #1 single and five albums so once they've done ther Greatest Hits and upcoming tour what else have they still got to achieve? They don't seem interested in worldwide or European success and if they can't sell 25K of an album then they're never going to get a #1 album or another platinum one.

I'm not saying they WILL split. Obviously there are factors suggesting they won't (the girls get on and love their job and are still really young so need a career) but people have to accept that people aren't stupid or exaggerating when they say a split could happen any time. Their label might not want to make another album considering how badly the last one did. If a #1 single, Surprise Surprise, Stepping Out, Paul O'Grady, Strictly Come Dancing and five singles can't sell more than 25K of a studio album, would YOU want to pay for more studio and songwriter time to create yet another album?

If they split, they split. I think they'll do this Greatest Hits thing, tour, take some time out and then do one last album in 2015 and bow out gracefully.

You're missing the point. They've had 3 'flop' albums in their career. They must make the money back someway else they'd have been dropped like a stone after 'Wordshaker'. It's obvious their biggest source of income is from endorsements, deals, TV shows and the sort. But without the music would anyone be interested in them for those sort of things? I don't think so sadly.

I HATE artists who release an album after a Greatest Hits and then sod off. I'd rather no album after the Greatest Hits, it just looks messy.

But they will only get their endorsements etc if they remain relevant in the music business. Why would someone want Mollie or Rochelle to promote their product or appear on their TV show or have The Saturdays as the face of a campaign when nobody is buying their records and radio aren't playing them, and someone like Little Mix or Neon Jungle would attract much more people to it? They're only going to get deals if they continue to get sales and airplay. If they get big singles, people are talking about them, they get endorsements and magazine interviews (etc). They need a presence to get deals and right now there is NO presence or buzz around them. Nobody is talking about them.

And also, if they continue to have flop singles and albums then the quality of their music will decrease. They only worked with The Jam because they were so cheap and Mollie was dating one of the producers. Their videos from this album have been cheap as hell. The album as a whole sounded cheap. The artwork was cheap. People aren't going to continue to support a band who aren't putting in the money and effort to create good music and visuals.

Although I like them, I don't think we have to worry about Neon Jungle too much. They've just been very lucky with the material they've been given. I see them as a dance act that will die out within a year.

Edited by Will.

I'm not sure. 'Braveheart' might have been a fluke but their new single got playlisted on Radio 1 and is doing well on pre-orders so you never know.

Surely Marvin is playing it? I heard a remix of it on his show this evening.
As an aside, it's wonderful to see the majority of fans in this forum balance out their theories with facts and come across articulately.
Does anyone have a link to the video that shows the choreography for Not Giving Up. I can't find it anywhere!

30 Days was not a massive flop. 78k is disappointing but at the end of the day, it was a much improvement over My Heart Takes Over

I love 30 days but as an album lead single it is a flop
