I hope the tour is announced today. Last time they announced it on the Monday and tickets went on sale Friday with a midweek pre-sale for fans. It would make sense for them to do it today anyway - a bit of buzz building up during the week, getting it out there via social media and print and they can plug it all weekend on Lorraine/Saturday Night Takeaway/Sunday Brunch along with the single rather than announce it at the end of the week and tell people to look out for the dates 'soon' (which the general public would probably not bother doing - more likely to sell tickets to those audiences if they're already on sale rather than having to wait).

they should have done a radio tour. this promo campaign seriously lacks radio. yes Radio 1 didn't playlist them, but a good radio tour would still have got loads of radio airplay. the 5 girls could easily spread themselves over 5 radio interviews a day if they do 1 each.

and even when Radio 1 don't playlist a song they still have those artists on for interviews and play their song following the interview.

there are also loads more TV shows they could do.

I think it'll be announced tomorrow at the latest. - and I'm hoping the buzz might help Not Giving Up, a little.

Daybreak (Fri 4 April 14 - Interview)

MTV UK (Sat 5 April - Top 50 Takeover)

Saturday Night Takeaway (Sat 5 April 14 - Interview)

Sunday Brunch (Sun 6 April 14 - Interview)

This Morning (Mon 7 April 14 - Interview + Performance)

Loose Women (Wed 9 April 14 - Interview + Performance)

- I think this promo is absolutely fine for them and more than you'd expect from a 5th single off a flop album. Like I said, if airplay was even as good as 'Disco Love's' (which was pretty bad, but people were at least hearing it to some extent), we'd have an easy top 5 single.

Sounds really stupid but where would they announce the tour? Via a mailer or Facebook?
That's a good question! Probably social media with an email following. Does anyone remember how the previous tour was announced?

It's not stupid at all. I reckon it'll be twitter and Facebook, which they might follow with a newsletter.

http://comparemyradio.com/tracks/The_Saturdays/Not_Giving_Up - The Hits Radio are playing this a fair bit, it's a shame they don't get more listeners!

What will happen if it peaks at #12?

This forum and it's posters will go into meltdown and we will rampage through the rest of Buzzjack.

Y'all better get pre-ordering buzzjackers!

It's about time they got those previews on iTunes! I wonder if there will be an extra remix bundle on release day because I really like the JRMX Club Heaven Mix and the Extended Cahill remix.

Everyone get requesting on Marvin at 7! It's the only way the song gets played on Capital!

Main competition - Aloe Blacc, Sigma and The Vamps - the probable top 3. Iggy will probably be 4 or 5. John Martin might not be as big of a competitor. They might make 9 or 10 if airplay picks up for release. And the promo shows off the song prominently.

As much as I agree with the top 3. There is NO way Iggy is going top 5, simply because it hasn't been a huge airplay hit. It'll do a 'Human' and have great pre-orders but a disappointing finish (#9-11ish). I think The saturdays will go between these numbers aswell though :)

Christina Perri's Human?

I hate to detour in the sats forum, but I LOVE her and Head Or Heart  OH and she favourited three of my tweets yesterday yipeeeee :D
If you look at John Martin's single this week. He's had a much better pre-order chart run, yet only reached #10 on release day and now climbed to #6. With three/four(?) new entries ahead of them, they'd be lucky to do the same. I'm thinking #11-#15 max. But I'd love another top 10 of course, even if its just #10.
If they do go 11 - 20, it won't be that much of a fail given it will only have been bought by fans. Gentleman was actually playlisted on major radio stations.

But was playlisted on the back of their first number one/biggest song of their career!

I think I'm the only one that thinks the Leave A Light On remix is awful.
