At #40 is the second single from Talk That Talk, the followup to the huge smash hit We Found Love, the very nice but disappointing You Da One. It flopped pretty much everywhere, and it is easy to see why. There is literally nothing to it at all and is just very forgettable in all honesty.

You Da One could be worse tbf. It could be Birthday Cake or Cockiness :kink: I don't *mind* it but I can't say I love it.

At #39 is Rockstar 101, the third single from Rated R, which did absolutely nothing. It saw Rihanna take a different direction and try her hand at rock, but in my opinion, it was pretty awful and is the worst Rihanna single of all time for me. A true steaming turd amongst her discography.

What even? :((

It's one of her best!! Up there with Diamonds and What's Me Name? Those three should be this rate's top 3.

Agreed about the steaming turd in the discography of Rockstar though.

Actually really surprised to see this down so low, especially with the amount of 10s it got ... but a lot of 1s and 2s weighed it down I presume? (I didnt calculate the results). Either way, it is one of my favourite Rihanna singles from her Unapologetic era - a lot of fun, catchy and great to listen to in a club or for pre drinks. A messed up release strategy caused it flop in the UK majorly, but it did fairly decently in the US!

'Rockstar' is AMAZING! It was just a silly decision to try and make it work as a single.

'You Da One' is comfortably the worst thing she's ever recorded.

At #37 is one of Rihanna's earlier singles, the fun and breezy If Its Lovin That You Want! It is almost a completely different girl to the RiRi we all love and know now, I did absolutely adore the single at the time though ... it is a lot of fun! Ridiculously catchy too, a shame it is pretty much completely forgotten about now though.

At #36 is the 3rd single from Good Girl Gone Bad, a nice song, but nothing more ... just nice. I think it nearly killed the GGGB campaign until Don't Stop The Music came out and thankfully saved it.

No tragic losses so far! Generally pleasing results.

'Rockstar 101' is a bit too high up. On some rare occasions I don't mind it, but usually I find it to be truly headache inducing. :drama: Definitely one of her worst singles.

I find 'You Da One' to be a bit underrated, but I'm not surprised to see it that low down. I understand how for most people it sounded like an extremely underwhelming follow up after 'We Found Love' but I personally liked the swift change of pace. Nice & laid back.

I don't mind 'Right Now'; the hate for that song seems rather exaggerated to me.

'Hate That I Love You' is so underrated :( It had a fair bit of longevity considering the meh peak! (15 weeks top 40 with a #15 peak - sorry I'm very protective to cover HTILY's back :kink: !) Plus it kept the album nice and high iirc. Beautiful song. Not surprised to see it's out though, but I can't think of anything that's above it, that I wouldn't be happy with so that's good!

Excited these results are coming in!

Only very minor losses for me are 'If It's Lovin' That You Want' and' If I Never See Your Face Again'. Backing 'What's My Name', but expecting 'Diamonds' or 'We Found Love' to take the top spots.

I would have had Break It Off and Pour It Up higher, other than that not bothered about some of the others that have gone so far..
The bottom 3 is so damn strong omg.

so basically all of her great / proper (or should i say plenty) urban singles fallin out like dominoes. WEAK

never understood why people hate you da one SO MUCH
