March 6, 201411 yr I cannot believe it is the final this week, gonna miss it. :( (Not Nour & Anders though, GOD they've been shit!) My MF 2014 physical CD came in the post today and it's been on full rotation ever since. My top 32: 1. Ace Wilder - Busy Doin' Nothin' 2. Helena Paparizou - Survivor 3. Josef Johansson - Hela natten 4. Sanna Nielsen - Undo 5. Pink Pistols - I Am Somebody 6. Linda Bengtzing - Ta mig 7. dr. alban & Jessica Folcker - Around The World 8. Alcazar - Blame It On The Disco 9. Martin Stenmarck - När Änglarna Går Hem 10. Alvaro Estrella - Bedroom 11. Shirley Clamp - Burning Alive 12. EKO - Red 13. Janet Leon - Hollow 14. JEM - Love Trigger 15. Ellen Benediktson - Songbird 16. Elisa Lindström - Casanova 17. Mahan Moin - Aleo 18. Panetoz - Efter solsken 19. Oscar Zia - Yes We Can 20. Linus Svenning - Bröder 21. Anton Ewald - Natural 22. YOHIO - To The End 23. Manda - Glow 24. State Of Drama - All We Are 25. I.D.A. - Fight Me If You Dare 26. Ellinore Holmer - En himmelsk sång 27. CajsaStina Åkerström - En enkel sång 28. Little Great Things - Set Yourself Free 29. Ammotrack - Raise Your Hands 30. Outtrigger - Echo 31. The Refreshments - Hallelujah 32. Sylvester Schlegel - Bygdens son I'd be happy with Ace, Helena or Sanna winning. As much as I like Alcazar they'd do SOD ALL at Eurovision so it's probably for the best they don't.
March 6, 201411 yr And I forgot to say TACK SÅ MYCKET till Tirren for the superb write-ups the past 6 weeks. I hope you do something similar for the Eurovision entries this year.
March 6, 201411 yr Here is my rankings - not how i think the result will end up on the night. 1) Helen Paparizou (Love) 2) Sanna Nielsen - Undo (Great Song) 2) YOHIO - To The End (Great Song but the image wrecks it for me) 3) Ace Wilder - Busy Doin' Nothin' (Like the artist / catchy song) 4) Linus Svenning - Bröder (Alright song) 5) Ellen Benediktson - Songbird (Decent /Bit boring) 6) Alcazar - Blame It On The Disco ( I like this but it's too old school for ESC) 7) Panetoz - Efter solsken (Not my cup of tea) 8)Anton Ewald - Natural (Crap) 9) Oscar Zia - Yes We Can (Awful)
March 6, 201411 yr Want: 1. Sanna Nielson 2. Helena Paparizou 3. Ace Wilder 4. Alcazar 5. Ellen Benediktson 6. Linus Svenning 7. Panetoz 8. YOHIO 9. Oscar Zia 10. Anton Ewald Prediction: 1. Ace Wilder 2. Helena Paparizou 3. Sanna Nielson 4. YOHIO 5. Anton Ewald 6. Linus Svenning 7. Alcazar 8. Panetoz 9. Oscar Zia 10. Ellen Benediktson I feel like the juries will be cruel to YOHIO again this year. Even if the song is more jury friendly I think this year the overall quality of the final is better. I think the juries will be all over Helena though. Edited March 6, 201411 yr by Sabrewulf
March 6, 201411 yr Although I know it will most likely not happen, I'm cheering on Helena. It's the undisputed fave in our house. Wouldn't be too bothered about "busy Doing Nothing" winning, as it will be something fresh and lively for Eurovision. "Undo" is a little too on the "meh" side for me... slick and professional, but a little too conservative to be a winner in Copenhagen. And... Helena doesn't require a key change, it's hot enough! March 7, 201411 yr Author When did ANYBODY suggest Helena wasn't so hot enough she needed a key change?! If anybody DID, send them IMMEDIATELY TO THE STAKE
March 7, 201411 yr Poll results from SVT's website today. 22% Ace Wilder 18% Helena Paparizou 16% Sanna Nielsen 10% Anton Ewald 10% YOHIO 8% Alcazar 7% Oscar Zia 4% Linus Svenning 3% Ellen Benediktson 3% Panetoz 632 votes.

I can see them picking up points with Ace or Helena but nobody else would connect that well with europe. I do like sanna too but it's not got enough 'ommph' The ace chorus reminds me of this: vD6qaYFVUng Edited March 7, 201411 yr by Jack89
March 7, 201411 yr An official music video has been released for 'Busy Doin' Nothin': 680R1Gq2YYU Fantastic to see Ace #1 on the Swedish charts too!

March 7, 201411 yr Okay, I'm gonna make a prediction of: 01 Sanna Nielsen 02 Ace Wilder 03 Anton Ewald 04 Helena Paparizou 05 Alcazar 06 Linus Svenning 07 YOHIO 08 Oscar Zia 09 Ellen Benediktson 10 Panetoz I do get the feeling I'm underpredicting YOHIO but looking at those above him, I can't think who he would leap ahead of.
March 7, 201411 yr Okay, sorry to double post but it has been a couple of hours. Apparently Malena Ernman, Marie Bergman, Robin Stjernberg and Charlotte Perrelli are performing tomorrow night. All together for "Thank You For The Music". http://blogg.svt.se/melodifestivalen/files/2014/03/perrelligunga-988x657.jpg Also, I've just seen that Ace is #1 and #3 on iTunes, has topped the Swedish chart, won the (really small) poll on SVT, is #1 on Spotify etc - I really should stop getting my hopes up as Sanna will no doubt still win. I'll experience Saucedo-esque disappointment of 2nd place no doubt :(
March 7, 201411 yr Ace has also taken over Sanna on a couple of bookmakers, and is very close to her on the rest. It's looking good for Ace but I don't want to get my hopes up either! :kink: Helena also seems to have gained momentum following Andra Chansen which is brilliant too!
March 8, 201411 yr It does look more and more like Ace's to lose. I'm really pleased at how good her reception has been, as she screams Deltavling failure, but it's proof that anyone can excel if they bring a high-quality, relevant song along for the ride. Although I'd feel sorry for Sanna, it probably is the best choice all things considered in terms of a Eurovision result. Helena turning into a true survivor here, starting out looking like a high profile flop to a probable top 5 finisher in the final, and probably getting her career back on track to boot!
March 8, 201411 yr Do we know roughly what times the actual results start? I can't remember from 2011/2012 and I missed last year's. I'm out later but should be back by 8 or so. I don't want to entirely miss the final for the 2nd year in a row (this is why I have no life), but I guess I'll live without seeing the performances again.
