So LP have dropped their new single in a bit of an odd way - anyone who Shazams one of their songs gets access to it. Apparently released properly tomorrow.

It's really not what I expected at all - heavy but not in a particularly industrial way, almost power metal at times of a very long intro. Chorus seems a bit half-arsed and then there's a verse from the legendary Rakim which is mixed a bit low and Mike Shinoda is nowhere to be heard.

If this is anything to go by they seem to be alternating from mainstream-friendly albums and weird deviations, with this falling into the latter. Still looking forward to it though.

Not sure of this at the moment. I'll have a rethink about this later on when it gets released.

Edit: Just found out about the edit without Rakim. I would like that.

Is Rakim the rapper? Why have him when they have a perfectly capable rapper within the band anyway? :\ (Not sure about background politics when it comes to bands like Linkin Park though)

Anywayyyy. It's ok. Heavier than I was expecting, but by the end I think I liked it. Some adjusting and getting used to for me and I can see myself liking it more.

Because he's Rakim and the man is a legend.

Anyway here's a lyric video in case anybody hasn't heard it yet.

My thoughts? It's ok but Chester's vocals sound very weak with this production. Maybe it'll grow on me
