Hideaway hasn't made an appearance yet, which is quite surprising too. I do start to notice though that NZ charts tend to embrace the on-air/on-sale more so than the other countries. Hence, Ariana debuted at number one being the most recent example. Other than that, whatever song is a hit internationally (ie. Waves and Sigma - which weirdly is credited as "Ultimate Dance" and the song is titled "Nobody to Love, In The Style of Sigma"), NZ quickly picks up on it and charts it. Heck, Tove Lo is number 3 this week!!! Milky Chance just started debuting also.

That isn't the real Sigma track in the chart this week, odd considering the real one was in the chart the last 3 weeks - it looks like it may have been temporarily deleted from iTunes or something, I just checked NZ iTunes and it is now #1 there so I guess expect a big re-entry next week :unsure:

Srsly does anyone know what the fuck is going on with 'Don't Stop'? Is it only available on CD or something? :huh:

 

Woop for Ella breaking Oceania this week, with a low top 40 entry in Australia as well! acharts.us informs me 'Ghost' has also become a top 70 smash in Switzerland. Worldwide domination.

Don't Stop is available on iTunes (currently #59), it just doesn't seem to be taking to people outside the fanbase. So it had a big debut, dropped out, then re-entered at #1 when the EP came out, stacked with pre-orders, which had it immediately occupying the top two spots on iTunes, but within a week, the main version was out of the top 40, and the acoustic version was out of the top 100. I actually thought it might have dropped straight out from #1 the very next week!

The #1 has changed just about every week this year. With the severe exception of Pharrell's 15 non-consecutive weeks, only one other song ('Stay With Me') has managed 2 weeks in a row. 'Sing' getting there in its 14th week is rather remarkable!
