March 5, 20169 yr I agree entirely, just like with Ella Henderson, she could have easily emerged a year after X Factor with a nice ballad co-written some emerging songwriter, but she took time and built a pop monster with Ryan Tedder and had a colossal hit. I'm not saying Tamera will follow that but it is definitely better to take time to make the best music than release as soon as possible.
March 5, 20169 yr Tamera definitely needed the time out. She was too young to have launched an album a year or two after being on the show. She needed time to grow and find herself as an artist (and how not to forget words in live performances ) and make sure she has the right material. I'm hopeful after all this time that it will be something good!
March 9, 20169 yr I like what they have done with her tbh . They've taken there time developing her and will probably launch her as if she's a brand new unknown artist . She's worked with the likes of Swizz Beatz, Chris Brown , and Naughty Boy so they obviously haven't forgotten about her and backing her so I'm excited to here her material . October 2, 20177 yr Tamera has said on Twitter that her lead single will be out before the end of the month :o
October 2, 20177 yr Tamera has said on Twitter that her lead single will be out before the end of the month :o What?! Who the hell is paying for it if Emily from LAST YEAR'S X Factor has to self-release her own single?!
October 2, 20177 yr Ooh finally :o It'll flop on its arse I'm sure but she has so much potential, it'd be fab if she somehow did an Ella Henderson.
October 3, 20177 yr omg finally but why now?!?! how is this even possible unless it's self released?!
May 22, 20205 yr She’s actually come out with 3 new songs the past couple of months FINALLY Romeo , Don’t Phone and Flipside. Flipside just came out today . 8WtSVA-M5Vw Fi_2MUNBfSA dcA7eyf62Is I really like all 3 songs it’s a shame she don’t have a big label or management backing her anymore as she has all tools of a star and did so in the X Factor days as well. May 22, 20205 yr Whatever happened to her on Syco ? It seemed like she was going to be a real big star and working with good people .
May 23, 20205 yr Whatever happened to her on Syco ? It seemed like she was going to be a real big star and working with good people .She was on a development contract I believe and just for some reason her material never saw the light of day . It’s a shame cause like you said she was rumoured to be working with some great people . Edited May 23, 20205 yr by troylovesmusic
May 23, 20205 yr Tamera is for me the female X Factor contestant who had the most potential in my eyes to be a star since Leona. I’m still shocked it never ended up going that way for her. She’s definitely now lost the X Factor tag though if she were to commercially start I don’t think she’d have that tag no more but if it hasn’t happened by now I don’t know if it will. It’s good she’s releasing music though in some way. The music she’s making now isn’t that different to the type of stuff Jorja Smith is doing right now.
June 9, 20205 yr I’ve heard Flipside played on a few UK urban radio stations the past few days . I really want it to do something it’s so good . If it was sung by someone like Mabel or Jorja Smith I think it would be a big hit !
June 9, 20205 yr Beyond the fact she looks marketable I don't really get the hype. Her music since the show is nothing noteworthy - especially since she's had over 5 years to come up with something.
June 9, 20205 yr She'll always be remembered as the one who kept fluffing up the lyrics on XF which goes against her too...
June 9, 20205 yr She'll always be remembered as the one who kept fluffing up the lyrics on XF which goes against her too...Tbh only hardcore X Factor fans would remember her or her time on the show really properly at this point . Edited June 9, 20205 yr by troylovesmusic
June 9, 20205 yr Tbh only hardcore X Factor fans would remember her or her time on the show really properly at this point . yeah she’s lost the X Factor tag now which in all honesty right now is a good thing. She’d have probably had some success if she’d come back with a manufactured sound in 2014/15 post show but she’s went in a whole new lane. She has potential and the right look and image and everything tbh. She’ll get Jorja comparisons for sure though.
June 9, 20205 yr Beyond the fact she looks marketable I don't really get the hype. Her music since the show is nothing noteworthy - especially since she's had over 5 years to come up with something. There is no hype there though well not anymore anyways  She had quite a bit of hype when she was signed with SYCO and all of the names of the people she was working were coming out . It’s a shame we will never get to hear that material as I’m sure there would have been some good material and quality produced tracks there. The music she’s releasing now is ok but I agree it’s nothing groundbreaking .
