April 14, 201411 yr Lana has pretty much announced when her new single is out and pretty much slipped that her album in May. So I am still thinking Rihanna, probably want new music to sing for her tour with Eminem
April 14, 201411 yr You know what I think? I'm predicting that Cliff Richard has turned his attention away from vineyards and tennis for long enough to ask why he hasn't made any sales in the last 5 or 6 years, and someone has had to break the news of Woolsworths' demise to him, and then explain to him what a download is, and he's got interested in the idea and decided to try and be down with the kids to celebrate his '55 years of recording music' anniversary.
April 14, 201411 yr Lana's new single is on spotify in the US now so very unlikely to be her. I doubt it's Kate Bush, she will very much appeal to amazon customers and would sell a lot of physical copies.
April 25, 201411 yr Looks like it might be Mariah Carey... http://www.popjustice.com/thenews/mariah-c...w-album/126567/ Hope it's not though, it would be a bit of an anti-climax!
April 25, 201411 yr I LOVE Mariah but she would be lucky if it was even a tenth as big as Beyonce's album, I'm not sure that this is the right strategy for her as it's the sort of thing that would probably quickly go top 5 on iTunes stores worldwide but drop like a brick very quickly. She's not a big enough name anymore to release an album like that and expect it to smash, The Art Of Letting Go has very little anticipation. If she'd dropped her album onto iTunes while #Beautiful was smashing it might have been bigger.
April 25, 201411 yr Definitely an anti-climax if it is her considering she's already released several singles from it!
April 25, 201411 yr It's not a big deal for Mariah. She's one of the most successful artists of all time (at least in the US), so she can flop all she wants now. I agree that she should have released it when #Beautiful was doing well. She doesn't get big hits very much anymore, so she was lucky to get one last year, and she kind of wasted it imo.
April 25, 201411 yr I wouldn't actually call '#Beautiful' a big hit... It was for Mariah in this day and age. It even got Radio 1 support which isn't something the likes of Kylie, Madonna or Britney could say nowadays.
April 25, 201411 yr Yeah, I guess when you put it like that, she probably should have capitalised on it.
April 25, 201411 yr It was a big enough hit is right it climbed the chart too and peaked at 22 39-27-24-24-24-23-{22}-22-28-32-35-36-40-48-67->15
April 25, 201411 yr If iTunes changed all the banners to MC one Friday Morning people just wouldn't care. Mariah is a very famous and well known singer who has sold millions yes, but these days no commercial appeal at all.
April 25, 201411 yr I wouldn't actually call '#Beautiful' a big hit... You have rather high standards then. It has over 100,000 downloads in the UK. A tenth of a million...
April 26, 201411 yr Mariah Carey?! Yeah Mariah. For her to get a play listing on radio 1 in 2013 is a great achievement, shows it was a good song relevant to today. (Plus Miguel featured :P)
April 26, 201411 yr If iTunes changed all the banners to MC one Friday Morning people just wouldn't care. Mariah is a very famous and well known singer who has sold millions yes, but these days no commercial appeal at all. Except at Xmas? :P
April 28, 201411 yr so I was at a media thing tonight and someone behind me was talking about this and said it was Kasabian. they were not excited
