Seth Rogen returns to Studio 8H on April 12 to host for his third time. Rogen stars alongside Rose Byrne and Zac Efron in the feature film, “Neighbors,” in theaters May 9.

Grammy nominated, British phenomenon Ed Sheeran will make his SNL musical guest debut. Sheeran’s performance will be the global television premiere of the first single from his much anticipated second album, due out this summer.

Great to see that this isn't too far away now. :cheer: "I See Fire" is still doing well elsewhere, excited to see what he's come up with this time and nice to see him starting the US promo straight away.

Woo.
I was obsessed with his first album and all of his EP's in 2011, but my interest has waned a bit since and I never fully got into I See Fire. I hope the new material wins me back over, I'm certainly very intrigued to hear it!
I really came round to Ed about a month after The A Team was released in 2011 and he has impressed me immensely from there on and I liked I See Fire a lot so I hope it's as a good as + if not better.

LOVED '+' and 'I See Fire' was great too so hopefully he hasn't lost it ~ I would love for this new song to be something along the lines of 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' or at least 'The City'/'Grade 8' but the chances of that are probably very low. Another 'The A Team' clone would be fine as long as it's actually good though.

This might be what you're after :D - not sure if it's the single but he debuted a new song live last night. Sounds like 'You Need Me...' part two. I'd love to hear a studio version but it's sounding good.

Credit where credit's due, he's done so well at keeping his name out there since the last era so I can see him doing very well again.

Yeah I was just thinking that he's nicely poised for massive success if he delivers with the album and has a smash lead single. His level of fame/commercial success/critical acclaim in the US is similar to that of Adele pre-'21' (and he's much bigger than she was in the UK and elsewhere). He appeals to a wide demographic and has the ability to produce cross-genre material, like she does. To extend the Adele/Ed parallel, they were both about the same age starting out before waiting three years for their second album :P.

So, all things considered, I'm expecting him to pull a '21' with this :cheer:.

I wouldn't expect a 21, more a... "Unorthodox Jukebox".

He should totally name his album like "-" or "=" then.

Well anything less than 25 million worldwide will be a flop IMO.

If BJ existed in like 1990 this would have been a legit comment for a lot of albums.

I think he actually did say it's a non-word title or something :D.

He's covered Elton John's Candle In The Wind on a new deluxe edition of Elton's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album, turned it into a mid-tempo acoustic song, sounds pretty strong but it's quite strange to hear that song sung in quite a jolly tone.

Well, no point in countdown now is there. Monday, 7:30pm, Radio 1, Zane Lowe is premiering my 1st single from the new album. Tune in x

Been wondering what he was counting down to on twitter, shame it wasn't a Beyoncé release. :P It's also been announced to be called "Sing".

Excited to hear it on Monday anyway. :cheer:

It's called 'Sing' and will be released in "a month" in the UK, Ireland, Australia and Germany and available immediately everywhere else. ATRL are saying it features Pharrell but I don't know where they've got that from.

I think he's going to be huge this year! I hope this album isn't too far away from his debut though, it was amazing.
