Nice concept, not greatly executed for me, but at least they've tried to do something unique with it. Still think this song is mind-numbingly boring though, but they're yet to do a ballad that is remotely interesting to me.

I thought the whole thing was pretty awkward with the badly-executed transitions and I found some of their movements/attempts at chemistry and 'lad bant' to be so unnatural and cringe-worthy! I think being Irish, I'll never be able to take Niall seriously because he just seems so typical of a rural Irish lad and completely lacks any form of star-quality or (unironic) charisma :P. The dynamic between them always seems like he's their younger uncool Irish cousin who's the butt of their jokes or something! However, he's the only one who actually appears happy in the video. The others look knackered and/or over it all. I get the feeling Liam has always taken himself a bit too seriously for the brand and Harry has outgrown it as well. On another note, did anyone else get manband reunion vibes from the video, a la Take That's 'Patience'?

 

Anyway despite all that, I'd like the song to do well for them and I hope they manage to progress with their image and music for the next album in such a way that every member is more comfortable with the One D brand because I don't want them breaking up any time soon.
