March 22, 201411 yr I'm surprised by low sales for I believe in you. That was a really good song as well!
March 22, 201411 yr Ouch for 'I Believe In You'. That was released during the really bad sales period so it's not surprising but I remember it being big at the time so it's quite unlucky to have only sold 150k
March 22, 201411 yr Sad to see I Believe In You, On A Night Like This, Confide In Me and Love At First Sight all under 200,000. :( Overall summary of the data OCC have provided: 1,170,000 - Can't Get You Out Of My Head [#1] 997,000 - Especially For You [#1] 695,000 - I Should Be So Lucky [#1] 488,000 - Hand On Your Heart [#1] 425,000 - The Locomotion [#2] 370,000 - Wouldn't Change A Thing [#2] 370,000 - All The Lovers [#3] 329,000 - Better The Devil You Know [#2] 325,000 - Give Me Just A Little More Time [#2] 325,000 - Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi [#2] 315,000 - Got To Be Certain [#2] 300,000 - Spinning Around [#1] 260,000 - Tears On My Pillow [#1] 235,000 - Kids [#2] 195,000 - Love At First Sight [#2] 183,000 - Confide In Me [#2] 170,000 - On A Night Like This [#2] 150,000 - I Believe In You [#2] 130,000 - Slow [#1] Only two other singles of hers have sold more than 200,000 each, going by the BPI: In Your Eyes and Wow. Does anyone know roughly how much these two sold?
March 22, 201411 yr I can't believe she had so many #2s, I was gutted when Confide In Me and On A Night Like This missed the top spot, 2 great records, those sales are pretty low though. I'm sure Spinning Around sold more than 300,000
March 22, 201411 yr I keep forgetting 'Kids' didn't reach #1. Both those artists together should have all but guaranteed it, especially back in 2000 when all the major releases were scheduled in their own individual weeks - interesting to see it was released the same week as U2's 'Beautiful Day', was Robbie/Kylie ever in the running or did everyone always expect U2 to get to #1?

U2 as they were always a frontloaded singles act. "Discotheque" also hitting #1 but crashing soon afterwards proves that.
March 22, 201411 yr 'On A Night Like This' is so her best song, deserves more! As does 'Love At First Sight' but that seems to have trickle sold quite well over the past few years. 'I Believe In You' would have sold more if it wasn't for the rough sales period, I remember a week it was at #3 it sold about 7,000!
March 22, 201411 yr I'm thrilled to see these totals, her #2s are overall much better than her #1s - 'I Believe in You', 'Love at First Sight', 'On a Night Like This'. Just a shame her best songs have low sales. Only two other singles of hers have sold more than 200,000 each, going by the BPI: In Your Eyes and Wow. Does anyone know roughly how much these two sold? I have estimates of 200k for 'Wow' and 170k for 'In Your Eyes'. The latter figure is just me rounding up the 2009 sales figure of 165k to the next 10k so it will have sold more than that, but I don't think it will have passed 200k just yet.
March 22, 201411 yr Especially for You is back top 250 on ITunes UK after Sport Relief... would love it to get that 1,000,000 sales mark this year

I've just checked again and noticed that the In Your Eyes silver certificate is from March 2002, so it must be based on shipments. It was somewhat overstocked in that case!

March 22, 201411 yr "Wow" had sold 183,600 by the time "In your arms" was released according to my spreadsheet.
March 24, 201411 yr Do those download sales have to be added to the sales of the first post or are they included? Shocked at give me just a little more time, i really did not think it had done that well. I also thought Better the devil you know had sold more.

No they are the download separated from the physical so they are included in the figures in the OP. As I say the figure for GMJALMT is clearly an OCC error :D
March 24, 201411 yr To be fair to I Believe In You's sales, the album it was on was released two weeks before it and has sold a million copies in the UK. Perhaps just Kylie's fanbase felt the need to buy the CD single and everyone else was content with their copy of Ultimate Kylie. Also it *was* 2004.
March 24, 201411 yr Would love Kylie to re-release a Confide In Me/Better The Devil You Know CD single /download.
