^ Yeah, Imagine Dragons, and also people like Lorde and Macklemore had other songs which were clear future hits out at the time they got their breakthrough hits, so I never thought they'd be one-hit wonders.

Lorde's trying her best to refute that. I thought her hype was very much based on "Royals" anyway. A good example of someone else who clearly wasn't going to be a one hit wonder was Lana Del Rey given I think "Born To Die" had already premiered by the time "Video Games" smashed.

DJ Otzi (reminded of his presence by mentioning him in another thread!).

THREE top ten hits  And in Germany he was even more prolific scoring another few #1's there including their biggest seller of the decade, Ein Stern *.*

DJ Fresh! Like when Gold Dust was first released, I thought he'd be done after that (despite the long chart run).

After reading everyone else's posts I definitely agree with LMFAO! Their first album had a lot of potential and surely most people have heard "Shots" at least once...

Given the generic r&b content of her first album, I didn't think at the time that Pink would be on course to both bigger chart success and better quality repertoir.

Kind of expected Neon Jungle to be after Trouble tanked and thought Braveheart would be a flash in the pan Top 40 hit.

Team did quite well didn't it? And she also had Tennis Court out when Royals was big, which to me is likely to be another hit for her.

I agree that Lana Del Rey is a good example as well.
