Well, pretty fitting for 'No Good (Start The Dance)' to be their third highest seller! (Though I don't suppose it's possible 'Omen' and/or 'Warrior's Dance' may have overtaken it?)

Love 'Ebeneezer Goode' - finally a song I recognise that isn't by The Prodigy

Well, there's evidence of how sales increased from 1992 to 1994

A top 10 run of 6-2-{1}-1-1-1-3-8 can be outsold by 9-5-6-{4}-6-8-

'Ebenezer Goode' :D

Don't suppose there's any chance of ProGen (Move Any Mountain) making it in too? A much, much better song by them, but they're generally remembered for the "controversial" one.

Oh well, looks like the record buying population are in the "No Good" camp. Still a great record.

Hyperreal and Phorever People were my fave Shamen Songs. Boss Drums was good too.

My fave "Podge" era is definitely the 91/92 era, "Everybody in the place" is seminal. I love all those rave style tracks from 1991/92.

Never was into that Bob Marley remake... But then again, I'm not a fan of Bob Marley.

I'm going to attempt doing a mix of the Top 30 - I may regret this post.

77. IF YOU BUY THIS RECORD YOUR LIFE WILL BE BETTER- The Tamperer Featuring Maya (280,000)

http://i61.tinypic.com/5np668.jpg

YEAR: 1998

PEAK POSITION: 3

Funny enough I recall being in a club sometime in the summer of 98 and hearing “Feel It” and commenting to a friend how similar the beat was to “Material Girl” and low and behold the next single did just the trick. Anyway more of the same from the Tamperer in late 98 and as with so many dance acts it was a tale of diminishing returns.

76. I LUV U BABY- The Original (282,000)

YEAR: 1995

PEAK POSITION: 2

Released in early Jan the weather wasn’t conducive to this dance hit and it fizzled out at No 31, however it remained a club favourite and after the summer the returning clubbers made a success of the track when it debuted at No 2 behind Take That.

75. THE KEY THE SECRET- Urban Cookie Crew (282,000)

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412xdM5CvUL.jpg

YEAR: 1993

PEAK POSITION: 2

Previous member of both A Guy Called Gerald and Together, Rohan Heath’s next project was Urban Cookie Collective who gave him the biggest hit of his career. Were it not for Freddie Mercury’s remixed “Living On My Own” it would have gone all the way, a remixed version in 1996 limped to No 52.

I think 'No Good' just edges 'Breathe' as the Prodigy's best single!

'Ebeneezer Goode' was part of a record 10 consecutive weeks of dance domination at No1 in 1992 with 'Rhythm Is A Dancer'! <3

The Original 'I Luv U Baby' such an immense tune!

The Urban Cookie Collective with another classic old skool 90's anthem! :cheer:

The Key The Secret is epic. :D How much did "Feels Like Heaven" sell?

"I Luv U Baby" is catchy, but not a real 10. It'd still be big in 2014 obviously. :D

The Tamperer & Maya song. :D One of the best uses of a Madonna sample in a song.

1 Out of Space

2 Firestarter

3 No Good

4 Smack My Bitch Up

5 Charly

6 Everybody in the Place

7 Fire

8 Voodoo People

9 Warrior's Dance

10 Omen

Yes...no Breath.

It goes to show how unbalance the decade was - saleswise - that 3 weeks in the Top 10 for If You Buy This Record could outsell a four week number 1 from 1992.

Always hated The Tamperer personally.

The Key The Secret is my brother's favourite song ever, used to hear it ALL the time around the house/in his car when I was younger.

First time I heard the Key The Secret I thought it was Carol Decker from T'Pau singing.

I have no idea how that Tamperer record sounds. I remember the chimney / Jacksons one.

I Luv U Baby was pretty weak.

The Key:The Secret was actually annoyingly catchy - the vocals are just annoying, but the backing was bouncy dance fun :)

The tamperer "If you buy this record..." was a shocking piece of crap, especially considering how marvellous "feel it" was and still is!
75. THE KEY THE SECRET- Urban Cookie Crew (282,000)

They are Urban Cookie Collective, a typo there :D

I loved this song in fact it had a remix in the 2000s (can't remember when exactly), I liked that one too.
