We’re so close to it being 3 whole years since this was released aren’t we!!

 

I’ll always appreciate this album and respect Gaga for doing the total opposite of what she was famed for with this release

I gave this album a full listen this morning, the first time in a while. It's aged really well especially post-ASIB!

I think so too! I think it will be regarded as one of her best work in the future.

Awful album.

If this come after ASIB it would’ve done a lot better in my opinion.

 

I still regard this album as being an improvement on ARTPOP.

 

It definitely showcased her true talent more and was felt like it was natural.

 

What’s the UK sales for this? Is it near the 160-170K mark now?

I think this is still my favourite Gaga album, as a whole. It's so beautiful. Ofc the highs are nowhere near the highs of her other solo albums & ASIB, but it just works so perfectly as an album and there's very little filler on here for me.

Yes the best thing about Joanne that it flows super well as an album. Only A-Yo, DiC and MR will have the chance to be tour staples though.

It's valid that it helped the country pop to shine again: Younger Now by Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves getting Grammy and critical love etc

 

Her pink stetson look was also widely copied.

Very understated album and I think its impact has also been very understated and muted. I look back on the era fondly now, especially post-ASIB!

Come to Mama sounded so good today on my listen of the whole album :heart:

That Million Reasons performance might just be my second favourite one of that song. I think the Royal Variety one may be my favourite

 

I love Piano Gaga though.

Yess that was an amazing performance but The Royal Variety one is my fave too. Also love the Victoria's Secret performance.

An album with two singles (only one of those really being a hit), virtually no Spotify support, a sound what just isn’t streaming friendly at all.
