April 27, 201411 yr On Your Radar had an advert I saw on TV once... I saw the LFTW youtube advert twice
April 27, 201411 yr They need to have a kick ass advert, like going through the days of the week then BAM you get to Saturday and All Fired Up starts
April 27, 201411 yr They need to have a kick ass advert, like going through the days of the week then BAM you get to Saturday and All Fired Up starts To be fair I don't mind the one they used the day before ticket presale, they just need to add in the new single (s). Not Giving Up's charted at 82 in it's 3rd week :) not as bad as I excpected Given the lack of promotion and airplay, I agree! B-)
April 29, 201411 yr Not Giving Up's charted at 82 in it's 3rd week :) not as bad as I excpected not bad really for 3rd week
April 29, 201411 yr But it IS bad! I want Saturdays songs to be in the top ten for 3 weeks! It's still going to struggle to make 40k, which is abysmal!
April 29, 201411 yr Oh give it a break with the negativity. Yes we all wanted NGU to be a smash that it should have been! I myself said on several occasions I thought it Was a defo top 10. Then without airplay I realised there was a huge chance it could miss the top 20 altogether. It went top 20 without any proper promotion and no airplay. This had very little support and still managed to chart higher than artists that have huge fan bases. Realistically you would expect a song that had no promotion to chart top 40 and then drop out of the top 100 so for this song to manage a third week top 100 is an accomplishment in itself. Be Happy! He has every reason to be negative about the performance of Not Giving Up it was a huge flop. If it was a proper post album release it probably would have failed to make Top 40 by a big margin.

Doesn't that count for anything?
April 29, 201411 yr I love Not Giving Up, but it was a MAJOR disappointment. 'It's done well considering...' can't ALWAYS be the Saturdays' motto. For a band as established as them, they shouldn't be finding it difficult to get airplay for a very radio friendly song. Trust me, when there is something to actually be positive (hopefully, the next era) I'll be screaming from the rooftops.

This is the first time I've used the 'its done well considering...' thing cause it is actually true.
April 29, 201411 yr It hasn't even done well considering in my opinion. A song with a held back release from The Saturdays SHOULD go Top 10 no matter what the circumstances, at least in my eyes. I don't know why the radio didn't play it, maybe it's because they didn't realise it was a held back release and thought it was doing terribly so decided not to play it. I just hope all radio gets back on board for the greatest hits.
April 29, 201411 yr It was a great song, had two TV performances (better than some acts like Neon Jungle), was held back and is by The Saturdays (who are supposed to have a big fanbase) plus was 59p so I guess you could say #14 was a massive flop. HOWEVER, if you aren't getting any airplay then you aren't going to have a hit, so if you add that into the equation the song didn't flop *that much* considering it didn't go top 100 on radio.

April 29, 201411 yr #19..... Considering it had no airplay, lack of promo and was from an album that has sold 25k, 19 is a better than nothing. The Wanted's post album single Glow in The Dark failed to reach the top 100 and their album sold like 40k at last check. I think 19 is better than nothing right now and it's not like the song has ended the sats career as they do have GH to try again... http://31.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_llsbysM1zi1qh3qcmo1_r2_500.gif
April 30, 201411 yr This is the first time I've used the 'its done well considering...' thing cause it is actually true. Fully agree :) I'm thankful that it didn't do what The Wanted recently did and not chart at all. Should be able to shift 40-50k by the end of they year if it sticks around
May 4, 201411 yr She's a bit shouty at some points but that was still better vocally than the performances we got. It's rather good yes! That performance made me realise how good Mollie's verse is because Mollie sounds miles better the way she sings it than something "stronger vocally" like the lovely girl did. Definitely the hardest part of the song to sing I think because you need a rather good falsetto/head voice. On the opposite, I think I prefer how she did Frankie's middle-8 to the original. :o
